"We’re very happy with the patio Winnscapes installed for us. They worked with us to figure out what would be best for our space, coming out multiple times to talk with us. The walkthrough was thorough and the contract laid out every step of the process. The foreman went above and beyond, filling in a small gap between new steps and an old curved concrete sidewalk by specially cutting some pavers to fit perfectly- which was a really welcome surprise as we thought we'd have to fill the gap awkwardly with mulch or gravel. While reseeding the areas around the patio that had been dug up they went ahead and seeded other parts of our yard that were patchy and struggling. They extended the mulching from the beds to the exposed area underneath our deck which made it look much nicer. None of these extras were in the contract. They even moved the chairs we had left lying around our fire pit into a neat circle at the end. It was never hard to get ahold of them. Best contractors we’ve worked with yet!"

"I needed to replace my front brick steps from Brick to Concrete. We have been running into loose bricks, pretty much after each winter, to the extent that I was concerned about safety of visitors (my brother-in-law fell on a loose brick). Chris and crew showed up on time (like 1 min early!). And they did a great job taking all the bricks out and pouring concrete instead to give us a peace of mind and a good looking concrete steps. Throughout the process, Chris explained to me what is going on in detail and answered all my questions. I probably asked him the same question a few times and he patiently answered my questions. Chris is a master mason with specialty in concrete. He knows what he is doing and does it well. He is humorous, generous and a gentleman. Chris (personally) spent a lot of time power washing other areas of my pavers even though that was not part of the deal. I offered to pay him for it but he refused and said "I just want the place to look gorgeous when I leave. I highly recommend Chris and his team for any concrete / cement work."

"Manuel and his crews did an amazing job transforming our back yard into a beautiful living space! Pictures below, but this was basically a 12x24 old wooden deck before they started. We couldn't be happier with our new covered patio and paver work around the pool. It took longer than expected to complete but they were very detail oriented and all inspections passed flawlessly. I had originally contracted with Cap City Decks/Patios for this job and am so happy I got out of that as they are the absolute worst company I have ever experienced. I am so glad I found Rangels for this project and highly recommend their work and professionalism."

"Jerry was great. He came out initially to look at what the job would entail and discussed possible solutions to parging and reaching the area of concern. Once we were on the schedule, Jerry came and completed the work. We are pleased with the results and are waiting our order for the gas log set!"

"We used Flores Landscapes for our back patio and are so happy we decided to use them. They put in an Oberfields Travertine natural stone (Ivory/Noche) patio for us. The entire experience with them was outstanding! The crew worked all day rain or shine, we were truly impressed with the company’s work ethic. Every night they also cleaned up all areas, our neighbors were impressed. I highly recommend Flores Landscapes, you will not be disappointed. We look forward to our next project with them soon."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Marengo, OH

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
