"From my initial contact with Will all went extremely well. After checking with the shingle manufacturer of my existing shingles, I found that I had faulty shingles and had to go through the process of filing a claim with the manufacturer. This put a major kink in planning for a new roof, but Will and the Excellent Roofing crew were not impatient and were very helpful. Finally, the time came for a new roof. I was provided with a detailed list of what would be done, except for what might need to be repaired under the existing roof. I was, however, given a detailed list of the cost of possible repairs to the decking. The crew arrived at the scheduled date and time and began its work. The machinery used was remarkable--NOT two men and a wheelbarrow! State of the art machines were used to collect the debris as it was removed from the roof. There was absolutely no mess, and my newly landscaped foundation plantings were not disturbed. Will provided us with estimates of several shingle types as well as additional guarantees and options we could select or reject. We decided to use a designer shingle that was was a couple of steps up from the basic roof and to include several upgrades for ice and leak protection as well as warranty extensiosn. (We have been plagued by leak problems for years.) The new roof was installed, and it is beautiful. We could not be happier with the result. The product and the workmanship are, as the name says, Excellent Roofing!"

".Dylan and his crew did a fine job, finished most of job in one day, then were hampered by weather, came back in a couple of days to fully finish cleanup. Also cut down large bushes and small trees for a great price. Cleanup was thorough. <br /> Dylan Martin no longer works for Republic, he's started his own company, Martin Restoration LLC  ( 901-581-6199), has kept the crew who did my roof. "They came out on Monday, a little later than promised and went right to work. They had the old roof off in two days, cleaned up afterwards and hauled all the old shingles away. As they were removing the old roof, it was discovered that one of the eaves had some rotten wood and they repaired it and gave me a good price for the repair. I am very pleased with the quality of work performed. They even cleaned all of the gutters for me."

"He is always willing to get to the true root of the leak and spend time crawling the roof while I tap from the inside where the leak is coming from. He is always prompt and efficient. If his fix doesn't get the leak the first time he is willing to come out over and over again. He has always fixed the leak right the first time so have never had to have him come out again for the specific leaks he has fixed. He rocks! I can't say enough good things about him."

"<p>Contacted the company late last winter.  I had used them back in 2000 to repair my own roof and they did an outstanding job.  The original owner was great, mr. Ham, he has passed on the business to his son, and unfortunately the attention to detail is no longer at the company.  Initially things went well as his son gave an estimate fairly quickly after I called.  I asked for an estimate for the roof at two houses to stop leaks and also to fix rotted wood and a gutter at one of the houses.  He gave an estimate for the roofs, but said he would have to use a sub-contractor for the wood and gutter and would get back to me.  I told him to go ahead with the job and he did the job on the roofs.  But he was very difficult to follow up with.  Every time I called the office, the secretary said he would get back to me but he never did.  I realize it was busy last Spring with the bad weather, but I feel once you are working for someone you should be more attentive.  The roof job appeared good on inititial appearance, but at one of the houses, we had a wind storm in April and some of the shingles he replaced got turned up.  When I went up on the roof to nail them back down, I noticed very few nails in the shingles especially near the valley, and thus felt the workmanship was fair to poor here.  Then there is the issue of the rotted wood and gutter repair.  The son never got back to me for that job, and I gave up after many calls to the company and getting only the secretary saying he would call me back.  I ended up repairing the wood myself, which I was hoping to avoid.  I am sad to report I will no longer use this company in the future.</p> I"

"From start to finish it was a great experience - Charles Powell was very thorough and patient because I ask a lot of questions and I am most definitely NOT a contractor and I'm sure some of my questions must've seemed very basic to a professional yet he answered every one on them and went above and beyond to make sure I was well informed so important decisions could be made. He provided multiple options from the bare basic project to options that had all the bells and whistles available - I never knew there were so many roofing options!!! He helped us settle on what was best for us and I appreciated that.
