"I cannot speak highly enough about the team at Michael’s Tree & Loader Service! I’ve never had a tree removed or had any idea what to expect and this experience was a dream!! If you want an idea of what to expect, read on, otherwise TL;DR. We had an old growth oak tree in the middle of the turn around at the side of our house that was making the parking space behind it all but unusable. It wasn’t just its massive size - we could’ve dealt with that - it was the constant falling limbs, dripping sap, bug/squirrel/bird mess, just an overall mess. AND our power, cable and phone lines all ran under the canopy in danger constantly of being taken out of service. We called Michael’s on a recommendation from a friend. Mandi in the front office was very quick to have Anthony come out the next day to get us a quote. He was extremely knowledgeable about trees in general and how we needed to go about removing our particular nuisance. They gave us a very reasonable quote and were willing to wait while we gathered more information. About a week later, we realized they were they best choice - not the least expensive but definitely the best overall value - and called to schedule. It ended up being good timing as they had a cancellation and could fit us in the next day. Mandi quickly coordinated with STEMC to get the electrical wires moved out of the way, and the next morning everything was ready to go. Merlin and crew were perfect! They did everything with an efficient and watchful eye (even saved a baby squirrel), and moved the debris to the street. The debris was picked up the next day by Trent and his huge picker/dump truck. Due to weather the stump grinding took a few extra days, but Merlin came back yesterday and that’s now gone so you can’t even tell a tree was there! I just waved goodbye to Trent who cleaned up the shavings from the grind and we are done!"

"<p>I telephoned and left a message for Michael Wayt on 9/16/14, and he called back immediately. I explained that I wanted to consult with him in person about planting several trees and shrubs in my yard. He said he would call back the next day to schedule an appointment, which he did. He arrived on 9/19, on time, for the consultation. He was knowledgeable, professional, and personable, and, from my perspective, our meeting was a success. He provided lots of helpful suggestions. He said he would draw up a plan and estimate for me in about a week. (There was no urgency about getting the plantings done; I was shooting for sometime in November.) </p> <p>Michael's initial proposal arrived via email on 9/30, and over the next few weeks he and I exchanged questions, answers, and ideas via email and telephone about what specific shrubs and trees we should plant. Eventually, I sent him my final list, including a couple of landscaping tasks, and he sent me a quote of $1,775. </p> <p>My list: Extend by 3 feet an existing low, brick border; provide and lay 6 stepping stones; transplant 5 existing shrubs; dig up and discard 2 existing shrubs; provide and plant 6 new shrubs; provide and plant 1 small crape myrtle; and provide and plant 3 trees. </p> <p>Michael and two assistants arrived at 8:15 on 11/4 and completed all the work by 12:30. One additional thing they did was to take the sod that they had removed to dig holes for the new plantings and plant it in areas that needed an infusion of healthy grass. All the planting, transplanting, and landscaping was done carefully and attractively, and the crew then watered all the plantings. Thankfully, they did an excellent job of cleaning up afterwards. </p> <p>Michael was a real pleasure to work with throughout the process. Not only was he professional, knowledgeable, and personable, he exhibited a good sense of humor. I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again for future plantings and landscaping. My only suggestion to Michael would be to answer all emails. A few times, I had to follow up my email with a phone call because he hadn't answered the email.</p> <p>The final cost was a little lower than the quote because I (rather than Michael) purchased 4 of the shrubs at a local nursery, and Michael provided some mulch and transplanted the sod (see above), neither of which had been included in the quote.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /></p> <br />"

"We have used Window Gang twice to have our gutters cleaned out. They are reliable as they have shown up for both appointments made with them. We like the fact that they use "ladder standoffs" so the extension ladders do not rest on the gutters, they rest on the roof. The gutters and downspouts flowed nicely when they sprayed water through them."

"As this is their busy season they were not able to come out and give me an estimate for about a week. Mark responded and due to his experience and horticultural knowledge was able to provide a much needed solution. My property is rather large and has several problem areas. I have erosion issues around the pond which will ultimately be costly to resolve, but he broke down the much needed work into separate phases to help with the cost. I knew this would be a bit on the expensive side, but I was looking for someone who really understood my specific needs to use native plantings for improving the landscape, help with erosion issues, and minimal maintenance. I chose this company as I was looking for a greener or a more natural landscape solution, and the fact this company has been in business many years. Phase one of the work has been completed and I am extremely happy with the landscape improvement/solution. i will definitely consider using them again in the future to do more of the necessary work outlined in the original plan. <br />"
