"I'm very happy with the work that was done by Landmark construction and energy crew. At first, we met with Ron that came over and met with us about the issues that we had with our water heater and with the bills that we currently pay for electric. Ron recommended us to replace the bulky old water heater and to install a tankless system that will supply hot water immediately and with the use of less gas. We liked that idea and we decided to go for this project. Ron came over to our house with his 2 people that basically took care of all the removal and the installation of the new system. The work that they did took only 2 days from start to finish and now we have more space at the garage, and the bills are much lower than before…."

"I want to recommend JPH Electric to anyone needing a electrical professional. Sparky is easy to talk with and will explain what is happening so you understand. Very hard working. He worked his a** off replacing our 50 year old Zinsco main panel and sub panel that was sparking/arcing/charing. Good pricing. Price charged/paid was price quoted. And Lulu thanks you for the dog treats."

"We did a total remodel of my husband's family home.   It took over six months.  Our next door neighbor is Andre Johnson who is starting up his own solar panel installation out of his home.  He has been in the business for  years, but felt now was the time for him to start his own business.  After we moved in, we talked to him about solar installation...we got some other bids, but his was still the best.  He and his son did the installation, then we called the city for the inspector to come out.
This is why I am writing this review.  With the total remodel, we had a lot of city inspections, and we knew how particular they are.  The inspector came out, went up on the roof for 10 or 15 minutes.  Then he told Andre he wanted to talk to us.  We thought...this can't be good.  On the contrary....the inspector wanted us to know what an outstanding job they did.  In fact, he said he had never seen such a perfect job.  He had been to two other homes for solar installation inspection prior to ours, and neither one of them passed.  He said they were done by well known, large local companies.  He said the larger companies sub-contract out the work, so you don't get the pride of ownership kind of work that we got.
Andre has five different licenses on his business card.  I did check his CA license....#958114...and he is in good standing with the state of California.  One of the other licenses was his federal contracting license, and another one was with the State of California as a disabled vet.
If you are looking for any kind of solar panel installation, PLEASE call Andre for a bid.  I really don't think you can find a better price, and I know you won't get a better job.

"We loved working with Repair and Remodel Experts. They were
professional, polite, accommodating and stayed on task. They met our
deadline and the work they did was fantastic. Being a church, we
appreciated their work ethic and the demeanor of their crew. We didn't
have to worry that we would have visitors who might hear inappropriate
behavior or language coming from the construction area (which was right
next to our current office space.

"There are really two companies of regard Verengo and Sunrun.    Regarding Costs: Remember this is a lease ~$40,000 over 20 years!  It is expensive compared to a self-installation. Total equipment costs are < $20,000.  For the do-it-yourselfer you could save a lot of $'s but you must be prepared to continually monitor an repair the system you install.  You must also be prepared to pass inspection by the Electric Company and be permitted to sell back your excess power.  You also reap the government incentives.  With  this lease system all the government incentives are earned by Sunrun. After a year the DC-AC power converter failed.  Sunrun replaced it immediately.  This is the advantage of a lease.  Any equipment malfunction is taken care of immediately. The deceptive part is the year end electric bill from the electric company.  Year long monthly electrical bills are hardly worth placing a stamp on an envelope.  But come November there is a hefty bill depending on your particular usage.  This amounts to $800 in my case or an additional $77 per month to the Sunrun bill of ~$200 per month which increases over the years. In my opinion this lease will only have a cost benefit if electricity drastically increases.  If it does I will have stabilized my costs. Both Verengo and Sunrun are extremely professional and provide constant contact throughout the installation and initial operation.  Installation and inspections went as planned and I was on the grid in about 3 months after start of the project and earns a A+ rating.  The costs are another mater with a break even or loss depending on your particular situation.  This merits a Price evaluation of a D.  You may be able to negotiate a better deal than I did."

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Markleeville, CA

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
