"Original attempt a total bust. Guy got lost. Took him 2 1/2 hrs to do 30 min trip. After 3 calls from me to office, guy finally called and could speak so little English that I couldn't even help him get un-lost. I cancelled. Do you really want someone working on your electrical who can't find his way out of a paper bag? I felt sorry for the guy......Should he really be sent forth without a map or directions? With computers and technology today, that should not happen. Office called and apologized and said would reschedule and give me an extra hour. I said OK. This time guy who is owner (I think) came with another man and things got done. They cut time in half but man hours were equal except some of the time the one guy was only watching so not as productive. They installed a light fixture (everything was there, they only had to attach wires). It looked good. Second thing was to hang a large oval mirror. Had some difficulty in getting it hung straight, but finally OK. Third was installing new door handles on most interior doors. That went well. Price thru Angie's list was good. I asked regular rates for future work and was told $65/hr. that seemed a bit high for handyman work. Most I have used are in the $35 to $45 an hour range. I gave the owner credit for trying to correct the first disaster. Without that I would have given an F withoutt fail. He tried to do what he could to not have a bad mark. <br />"

"I hired Bruce because I had seen a variety of small projects & construction work he had completed for some very good friends I could not help but notice the quality of his work & his attention to detail. I am very fussy about projects etc. getting done the right way, & he immediately became someone I wanted to hire. Bruce met with me & was very thorough & detailed in his questions with regard to the information he needed from me to install the door. He was very knowledgeable, had suggestions & answered all my questions. He clearly provided his payment requirements & communicated appropriately & showed up on time to do the work as scheduled. He was very polite & knocked on my door before coming in if he had any questions & he was great with my dogs. He is also very trustworthy as my friends, as well as myself, left our homes while he was working to run errands etc. At various points during the door installation he explained what he was doing & why. The completed installation was of the same high quality I had seen at my friends home & I was very satisfied with his work. Bruce even fixed my gate which had some problems closing. The whole job took two days. He also called 2 days after the job was completed to see if everything was still to my satisfaction. I have now made future plans with him to do all my construction work & smaller home projects. He is an A+ on my list & I feel absolutely confident in recommending him to anyone who appreciates someone who takes pride in their work, likes good quality work & attention to detail. We have walked across the pool cover and it is child-proof. <br /> The rep and office staff were helpful and professional;  however, here are some items to be considered: <br /> The rep indicated that the cover would keep the water warm; it doesn't. Maybe if we had chosen a dark color it would be different. <br /> We chose a light beige. <br /> We have a large elm tree that drops leaves on the cover. It looks messy almost all the time. <br /> It is not so easy to reel up the cover in order to use the pool or add chemicals.  Two people are needed to put the cover back on."
