"Good job; friendly, efficient crew. Moved a few things that I could not move. I now have a great looking floor with no sign of the cracks and spalls that the floor had."

"Jim and his crew did a wonderful job painting our walls and ceilings in our basement. Where Jim really stands out is the way he was able to solve additional problems that would arise. The original builder didn’t give a professional finish look between our brick and drywall next to the fire place, so Jim came up with an innovating idea to make this area look professionally done. Jim was able to fix the nail pops from the dry wall along with a few minor holes with no problem. We had a return grate on the floor and the new cover didn’t fit so Jim modified the baseboards. The grate fit perfectly! We have some additional painting in the future that I’m sure Jim will be part of. Thanks Jim!"

"I purposefully asked that they not come until November as I wanted to ensure all the leaves were off the trees by then. Unfortunately we had some below freezing temps the day I was scheduled, so they had to re-schedule.  Their office called and kept me apprised of their scheduling and when they would be onsite to do the work.  They sent pictures when the work was complete and I was very impressed with the job done.  Having the pictures sent was a great idea as I was not home at the time they did the cleaning.  It's so great when a service request goes so smoothly, I didn't have to lift a finger aside from clicking BUY.  <br />"

"I purchased a fixer-upper home that had what I suspected to be mold on the bottom side of the floor joists and subfloor in the basement due to an improperly sealed shower in the basement bathroom. I wasn't overly concerned at the time of purchase; however became convinced that a professional should treat the issue after the basement bath went unused for 2 weeks and the toilet bowl grew a large amount of mold. I also found mold in a wall in the basement where there had been a leak from a water line. <br /> I had spoken to Scott about a previous property that I owned that I was concerned had mold on the concrete walls of the basement. He came over looked the walls over, sprayed something used to test for mold on the spots and assured me that it didn't seem to be mold. He could have easily tried to take advantage of my concern and tell me that treatment was necessary, but he didn't. That experience stuck with me. When it was time to find someone to look that the home I had just purchased, On The Spot was the only company I called. Scott was extremely helpful from the very beginning of the process. He was honest and up-front about the content of the estimate and the steps involved in the process and why they were needed. His employees were timely and courteous. I do not really want to deal with this issue again, but I would work with On The Spot for any of the services they provide. <br />"

"He did a very nice job- he came out gave me an estimate and got started a week or so later.  He took his time and was very concerned that I was happy with the job.  He would recommend repairing something over replacing to help save me money which I appreciated.  He was very professional, I would definately use him again."

FAQs for concrete floor coating apply projects in Martensdale, IA

Epoxy flooring is a two-part coating made from synthetic resins and a hardener that bonds to concrete to create a continuous, durable surface. Once cured, the coating resists impacts, moisture, and most household chemicals, making it a practical choice for garages, basements, and workshops. It also creates a uniform, easy-to-clean finish that looks more polished than bare concrete without requiring ongoing waxes or sealers.

With proper care and maintenance, solvent-based and solid residential epoxy flooring can last 10 to 20 years, while water-based epoxy flooring lasts three to five years. Water-based epoxy is less durable, making it more susceptible to regular wear and tear. Commercial epoxy concrete flooring that experiences heavy foot traffic may only last two to three years.

Maintaining epoxy garage floors is relatively easy. You can sweep up dirt and debris with a broom, dustpan, or vacuum cleaner, then use a mild cleaning solution intended for epoxy floors to scrub away stains. Avoid using soap-based or chemical cleaners. Mopping an epoxy garage floor regularly with warm water can do the trick.
