"Jesse did a great job with the asphalt sealing and getting the parking lot lines painted very quickly after. He gave me a great quote and I’m happy with the work he did. I will be reaching out to him in the future with any of my asphalt needs"

"I selected NW Asphalt Works primarily because of their experience in asphalt coatings. Danny and Johnny were very professional and courteous while presenting costs and performing the required work. During the initial prework walkthrough they were extremely helpful in full explanation and discussion of the work to be done, including coating application, methods, number of coats required and also enlightened me on small areas that needed extra attention and/or remediation for proper sealing. As the entire pavement was new, they also discussed the advantages of additional edge sealing. The work was completed in a timely manner with quality application. They also showed good concern and protection regarding surrounding non pavement related elements such as grass, garage doors, concrete garage or sidewalk paving, drain covers and etc. I highly recommend this company for asphalt related projects."

"A very hard-working team with great follow-up and customer service. Asphalt is often difficult and sometimes complex to repair. This crew did a great job restoring our fairly large driveway."

"Our driveway was damaged by a heavy delivery roofing truck over the summer. Robert with SSC provided a very competitive bid to repair the damage, so we went with SSC. We were initially happy until the first rain when 4.5 foot and 2.5 foot diameter puddles appeared at opposite ends of the patch joints. Multiple attempts by text, email, and phone over several months were made to Robert requesting repairs to the areas collecting water. Having not received a response, a demand letter was sent to Robert at SSC from my attorney. Robert returned in person after receiving letter. At that time he indicated that he would fix the large puddle but not the smaller one. That was several weeks ago and past the deadline to complete the repair. Again, no response from Robert when reaching out via text as to when the repair would be made. Our next step will be to get estimates from other asphalt contractors, have them fix the shoddy work by SSC and file a small claims case to recover my costs of the repair work. UPDATE: The contractor returned in October 2023 to patch the areas of the driveway that were creating puddles. He has apologized for his lack of communication and has promised to reseal the driveway for free in 2024. A big thanks goes to Nicole at Angie's Complaint Resolution Department for her assistance in facilitating a satisfactory solution and avoiding litigation."

"I hired Iconiq Construction to do my kitchen and I?m really happy how it came out. Sean and his guys were great, they told me what?s going on all the time so I never had to wonder. Everything went smooth, no waiting around, no extra money they ask for later. The kitchen looks so good now, better than I thought, and I?m glad I went with them."

Small jobs welcome

"I highly recommend Highland for your concrete needs. I contacted them for a driveway repair and was contacted very promptly. I received a complementary inspection and bid for several options of completing my project. I was on a tight deadline which the company was able to accommodate. The work was completed beautifully with excellent communication all along the way. One rarely gets such outstanding customer service these days, but this company was fantastic."

FAQs for asphalt paving repair or patch projects in Marysville, WA

With routine maintenance, a new residential asphalt driveway can last 15 to 20 years. In regions with heavy rain or freeze-thaw cycles, plan on extra maintenance to hit the upper end of that range. Concrete surfaces last even longer, from 20 to 25 years. Regular sealing and quick crack repairs go a long way toward preserving both materials.

You can pour new concrete over an existing driveway as long as the base slab is solid. Pros often place a three- to four-inch overlay to create a strong bond. If the old concrete is cracked or spalling badly, it’s wiser to remove it and start fresh to ensure durability.

Keep the surface in top shape by sealing it on schedule and tackling damage right away. Roll on a quality seal coat every three years for asphalt, and reseal concrete as needed while patching any flaws you spot. Staying ahead of small issues prevents bigger, pricier repairs and keeps your driveway looking sharp.
