Finally almost a year later, I asked for the deposit back, and he said he would mail immediately after briefly trying to convince me to still let him do the job, because it was simply "out of sight out of mind". That was 2 years ago. I'm filing a small claims case against him/the company tomorrow."

Having documented blueprints and plans clearly helped with daily 'stand-up' and 'stand down' conversations to confirm progress, immediate plans, and what to expect in the next few days. Any adjustments, fixes, or nits raised were acknowledge with a positive attitude and addressed quickly and to our level of satisfaction. The East End Designs team collaborated well with other professional trades (eg, electricians, pool fitters, plumber, hot tub installers, painters, etc.) where there was a focus on together getting the best outcome.
