"The owner, Scott is a great guy. He only hires top guys that do what they're supposed to do. The walls weren't exactly square and they made it look really good. I don't remember what the price was but I remember I was really happy with them. He came out within a day or two and then we have to order the cabinet. They came out as soon as it was there and took care of it for us. Scott is very professional and very on the wall with his stuff."

"<p>It couldn't have gone better.  Andy's professionalism was greatly appreciated and showed he liked to provide a good service.  Andy from the beginning was easy to get hold of and talk to.  He immediately came out to discuss the job and set up arrangements for his people to measure for the granite, detail the shower, electrical and plumbing work.  He has excellent employees working for him even though they are from independent companies they were very professional, highly skilled and offered alternatives to help us decide on ways to do the project.  The coordination for the work went without a hitch except for minor plumbing trim that I ordered and was a week late.  The granite counter tops turned out beautifully and fit perfectly and now I have a happy wife.</p> <p>Thanks Andy for a great job</p> <br />"

"The kitchen remodel was very professional in every aspect. We are very happy with the service and quality of work Tim and his crew  preformed on our kitchen. Beyond just the professionalism of Tim and crew's work, the passion and pride they put into their work shows. We definitely recommend them to anyone looking to have their kitchen or bathroom remodeled. A summary of work preformed on our kitchen includes, tearing out old cabinets and appliances, putting in new cabinets, putting in new electrical outlets, putting in gas lines, putting in new counter top's and putting in a new tile back splash. Originally before they started their work our kitchen had the original late 1950-early 1960's pilot light counter top stove and a separate built in oven. Thank you Tim,Tyler and everyone else for remolding our kitchen. <br />"

"Andy is extremely trustworthy.  He was exact on his timeliness for appointments and his estimates for materials and costs were "spot-on."  His expertise and artistry were untapped resources for me.  He was very responsive to returning my calls, at all times during the project.  He suggested time-savings ideas which in turn saved me money.   <br /> The crown molding looks great!  Just like it has always been there.  The base molding in the condo is much approved ... and we did not have to "rip out" the base molding that had originally been installed in the condo when it was built. It ;looks great! <br /> I was not there when all of this work was done ... I trusted Andy to do it right and it was.   <br /> I would hire Andy again ... and plan to do so when I update the 2 bathrooms.  I recommend Andy for his millwork skills and abilities.  He is focused on his customer's needs and entertains their ideas and wsihes. <br /> Thank you, Andy! <br />"

FAQs for cabinets reface projects in Mayville, MI

Absolutely. Refacing returns 65% to 80% of your investment at resale, and you get an updated kitchen right now. Because you’re not paying for new boxes or demo work, the price lands well below complete replacement but still delivers a fresh, custom look that buyers—and you—notice every time you walk in.

To trim costs, start by pricing a high-quality paint or gel stain instead of full refacing—stain alone can be one-third the price of full refacing. Keep existing hinges and pulls if they’re in good shape, and shop sales for sandpaper, primer, and sealer. The sweat equity is real, but so are the savings, and a careful DIY job can still leave your cabinets looking sharp for years to come.

A professional crew needs only three to five days to reface a standard kitchen, although a larger layout or intricate door style may add one to two days. Compare that with the several weeks a full cabinet swap can drag on. In other words, you get your space back fast, often before the paint on the new doors is even fully cured.

Yes, you can replace just the cabinet doors and drawer fronts without covering the cabinet boxes. Cabinet refacing involves installing new doors and drawer fronts while applying veneers to existing cabinet boxes. If you’re satisfied with the condition of your cabinets, swapping doors and drawer fronts reduces labor and materials, saving you time and cost. Always consult a professional to confirm compatibility and ensure a seamless, high-quality finish.

Most cabinet refacing projects do not require removing countertops because professionals can access doors and drawers around existing surfaces. However, if your countertop overhang prevents full access to the cabinet boxes, contractors may need to lift the countertop to install veneers properly temporarily. Discuss this with your refacing specialist during the on-site estimate so you know exactly what the project entails.
