"From the day Mac came to our house to explain options and clarify the process and price, we were sold and convinced that using All-Weather Seal was the best option to meet our needs.  Even after the initial order we requested a few minor changes and he was very accommodating.  In fact, as we placed the order over Labor Day Weekend, he even came to my work place to pick up the check we made and finish all details for the order.  After we finished the order when we finalized changes, Mac came back to my office to sign the contract again with requested changes.  He always accommodated our needs and our work and after-work schedules of my wife and me.  Just about the time we were going to call All-Weather Seal about the installation of the windows, sure enough Mac called again and let me know I would  be hearing from the installers about setting up a date/day/time to do the work.  One of the staff came to do one final measurement of all the windows and within a few days the installers came to our home on a Saturday to remove our old windows and install the new ones.  They were on time and prompt in their arrival.  They were respectful of our home and took care to make sure everything was done properly with the installation throughout the day.  As they worked they cleaned up what was not needed any more, then left the area in front of our home spotless as if they had never been there and the new windows had always been in place.  We were totally impressed with the entire process, the price and the work ethic, honesty and workmanship of all involved.  While we did not have a budget to do ALL the windows at this time for our entire house, we would contact All-Weather Seal in a minute if and when we are interested or able to install other windows or doors in our home.

"I contacted a couple of companies for quotes to remove two large pines from our backyard. Jake called back that day, and came out that evening. J&M tree service was the only company we contacted that actually came out to our property to look at what we wanted done - two companies just sent e-mail quotes without even coming out to look. "Actual installation took 1 day, but estimate, scheduling and final payment took almost 2 months. Gutter guards could not be installed as per factory instructions because of problems with existing drip rail, but were installed with modifications. New gutters tended to overflow where roof valley met gutter, but this was corrected later with the addition of valley splash shields. One unpleasant surprise was the subcontracting of gutter installation by a local company that we had had previous dealing with, who argued with us about desired modifications. However, Scott was very involved, and resolved all issues, including adjusting the price based on and quot;pain and sufferingand quot;. Scott was excellent and receptive to what we had to say, as well as being easy to get along with.
Suggestion to customers: specify work to be performed by their own crew, not sublet.

"I got 3 quotes for work that needed to be done on the exterior of my home and took the middle quote. The company that was doing the job was doing a horrible job. New Star Construction was doing some other work in my neighborhood and they came to look at the job. I ended up having them come and fix the bad work from the previous company and I couldn't be happier. They did a great job and are such great people to work with. "Matt does outstanding work. I could not be more pleased. I had a complicated installation of a new track lighting system that was confusing, and was delivered with with incomplete instructions. He figured everything out and solved assorted glitches and complications. His work is careful and accurate and meticulous. He also repaired our basement ceiling tile, which was a ‘70s mess. Old fashioned tile had fallen, broken, or worked loose in several spots. I was able to find matching replacements and he quickly made it all look like new. He spent a solid 8 hours straight working on these two projects . I especially appreciated this because he had to come from plus-30 miles away, and I had thought it would take much longer., at least 2 days. Everything is perfect. I would trust him completely with any repair, and I hope to call on him in the future. I will have some projects lined up for warmer weather. He offers far more than a handyman service. I am so glad Angie’s list put me in touch with him. I posted an earlier review after he took care of several, quick small repairs, but these were two big ones and very different. in scope"

"Decided to leave the color as is.  The software was a cool idea, but hard to use and only good if you just wanted to get some ideas.  It will only give you an approximation because it will not account for the lighting in your area.   The phone consultant said it would be better to use a color consultant.  I will probably go that route in the future, but for now I will leave as is.
