"We contacted three companies seeking ideas/proposals for installing lights in our newly installed pergola. Owner Mike Potucek came out to provide his recommendations. Mike is clearly very knowledgeable about outdoor lighting and is passionate about his work. Mike provided his recommendation to install 9 low voltage LED solid brass light fixtures with stainless steel transformer. Mike noted he could place our existing lights which illuminate our trees and patio bricks into the new transformer. The lights automatically come on at dusk and turn off at the time of our choice. Mike and his team of two arrived on the agreed upon date and, as predicted, they had the lights installed in about 3 hours. The team took the time to hide the wires as much as possible and space the lights to provide appropriate coverage. Mike and his team went over the operation of the system and ensure all of our questions were answered. The work area was cleaned up and the table/chairs restored to their pre-installation location. The lights themselves are impressive and add a very good ambiance to the pergola/yard. The lights only illuminate the intended area and do not overwhelm the rest of our yard. We were so impressed with the experience that we asked Mike for an estimate for installing lights on the front of our house. They replaced our 100-amp 75-year old panel with a 200 amp panel, which will accommodate future installation of an EV charger and a fully electric stove when desired. They logically re-organized and re-balanced our circuitry, with appropriate re-wiring as needed. They installed GFCI outlets where needed. Our garage is now PHEV capable. Our kitchen now has dedicated circuits and GFCI outlets. We had an inoperative kitchen ceiling exhaust fan that runs again after many years. Our inoperative drawstring closet lights all activate by motion now. And the lighting in our basement is bright enough now to cure my SAD. To summarize, we’re very happy. "Barry Nelligan came to our home in October and gave us a very professional  estimate for our whole house window replacement which he stated would be good for a period of two years. We decide to do first level only at  this time. They dropped off the Oak trim for us to stain two weeks ahead of time. They do not sub out the work and the carpenter who installed our windows has been with them over twenty-five years. Very  quality installation - he even used the best stained Oak pieces as they provided abundant wood. One screen came damaged from the factory, which was quickly replaced. Thermalcraft has done a lot of work in our neighborhood,  Brynhaven in Elmhurst, and we have not heard of a bad experience. We will likely use them again, for not only more window replacement, but also new siding, soffit, and fascia as well. "I wanted my porch lights to turn on/off automatically based on the time of sunset and sunrise, so I purchased a couple of Honeywell solar switches. George installed them quickly and they work great. While he was here, I mentioned that my exterior motion lights come on during the day when there is motion. He said that wasn't normal and inspected one of the lights. There was a rubber sticker covering the light sensor that looked like a label, so he pulled it off to reveal the sensor.  Now all my motion lights stay off during the day. My builder's electrician missed this step and it wasn't obvious to me that I needed to remove the small label. <br /> George is definitely a thinker. He'll offer you good advice and bring up things you may not have thought of. I'll definitely use them again. <br />"
