"First, Joe (the owner?) was extremely responsive and patient throughout the entire process! I submitted a request and honestly wasn't even sure that they would take on such a small job. Joe agreed to do it, and then the waiting game began. I have The World's Worst Homeowners Association, who are extremely UNresponsive, and it was several months of back and forth with them before I was able to get the light installed. Robert (the installer) was super personable and even offered an idea for an alternative installation location so that the big silver box wasn't the first thing you see right next to the front door where the outlet is. He also explained how additional lights (such as path lights) can be added along the wiring in the future when my budget permits. I did think the price was a little high to begin with, but then again I also could never have done this myself!"

"I wanted to take a moment to express how happy I was with D&D Landscaping and lighting. Dean did a fabulous job diagnosing and repairing my non working landscape lights. Dane found the short in the wire, rewired and installed new lights. The work was done meticulously. While working on the lighting I mentioned something about my Sprinklers. Dane stayed a little longer and made an adjustment to my sprinkler heads so the the grass that had burned would come back to life. Lastly, Dane came out on Fatherâ s Day so they I wouldnâ t miss any time from work. What a guy. "We contacted three companies seeking ideas/proposals for installing lights in our newly installed pergola. Owner Mike Potucek came out to provide his recommendations. Mike is clearly very knowledgeable about outdoor lighting and is passionate about his work. Mike provided his recommendation to install 9 low voltage LED solid brass light fixtures with stainless steel transformer. Mike noted he could place our existing lights which illuminate our trees and patio bricks into the new transformer. The lights automatically come on at dusk and turn off at the time of our choice. Mike and his team of two arrived on the agreed upon date and, as predicted, they had the lights installed in about 3 hours. The team took the time to hide the wires as much as possible and space the lights to provide appropriate coverage. Mike and his team went over the operation of the system and ensure all of our questions were answered. The work area was cleaned up and the table/chairs restored to their pre-installation location. The lights themselves are impressive and add a very good ambiance to the pergola/yard. The lights only illuminate the intended area and do not overwhelm the rest of our yard. We were so impressed with the experience that we asked Mike for an estimate for installing lights on the front of our house. Our overall experience was very positive-from Mike, to Kim in the office who responded to e-mail questions quickly and completely to the crew who assisted Mike. The remaining needed to be rewired and required Paul to come back and pull a new wire through the wall to the fixture. Both were very nice, respectful, and clean. As COMED was going to be in my yard installing electrical cables, Mary took the time to speak with the COMED representative to make sure that the new plants would not be in the way for COMED.
