"All was fine until the end when I received the invoice that included an extra $400 for removal of existing fence that Marty and I did not discuss. Old fence was temporary panels that stake into ground. One of the workers casually asked me if I wanted the temporary fence "taken down" and I said "sure" unaware there was going to be an added charge of $400. There were also 2 areas of new fence that I was not happy with. One area was fixed and the other remains not fixed. Without any further communication, I paid for fence and labor minus $400 for "old fence removal". Assumed area of fence I was not pleased with was off -set with my not paying for the ridiculous amount for what was actually a "pull temporary sections up and stack" which I could have done if it had been communicated to me there was going to be a add-on charge. Just left feeling like Marty Seikel was trying to pull a "fast one" which was uncharacteristic of him due to the impression I had. Since he never made any effort to contact me after the job, I have to submit this because this is how I was left feeling about Seikel Fence Co. Bad last impression, unfortunately."

"They always called before the appointments. They showed up when they said they would. They inspected my entire sprinkler system, cleaned heads and gave me and estimate for additional repairs. They performed the repairs in a timely manner. I also contracted them to install 2 wrought iron fence gates. They did a great job with both services. I was very happy and would recommend them highly."

"Not great. Fence was installed for $6000. However, the person digging holes for posts, broke two sprinkler lines and then mixed the pvc pieces with the cement for the posts. And he cut through the wires for the sprinkler system and they had to be replaced. I also told them I have an escape artist foster dog. They recommended a bottom rail on the fence and that has helped tremendously to keep her from digging out. However, I also told them that she can bust through the fence by banging against it. They didn't believe me. She was out and gone the first day. I asked them to set the bottom wires only 4-5 inches apart and they set them about 2' apart. It was easy for her to push her way through. When I called to complain, they sent someone out to bring a large handful of ties. Unfortunately, I don't have the strength to put on ties nor secure the fence. Now I have to put that foster dog on a staked lead to keep her close. I shouldn't have to do that after spending so much money on a fence. Several days after the install, my new neighbor came over and asked for the contact information for Fence Pro. I asked if he liked the fence and he said it had nothing to do with the fence but that they had driven across his property in their heavy truck and broke two sprinkler heads off. He tried to stop them but couldn't catch them. So, all in all, I had to pay an additional $695 to have the sprinkler lines and heads redone and my dog still gets out."

"They provided a quote within a few days of contacting them. I got two other quotes as well. The other two companies were very close to the same price but the quality of the materials they quoted were not near the quality of what A Better Fence gave me. It was an 8' solid board western red cedar fence on the back side and 6' on the other two sides. After the quote, I decided to go with A Better Fence to get the back 8' section done because that was the most critical. I am waiting until my neighbors on the other two sides can help with the cost of the other two sides. The fence is gorgeous! The workers were diligent and got it done in a timely manner and cleaned up after themselves. They were very courteous as well. Brad was my contact and I had to call him about a problem with my metal gate right after they finished the back fence. That was NOT part of the original job or quote but he was nice enough to get a part and come out and make repairs on both gates. I would DEFINITELY hire them again! Great job! Quality work!"
