"On Tuesday 09-29-2020, Joseph came to my home to clean and inspect my fireplace and chimney. The first thing I would like to comment on beyond his obvious knowledge and skill with fireplace tech is that he's also a wonderful and caring person. I could tell that he genuinely cared about me as well as the task at hand. I have two canes that I need to move about. He could tell that I have cretin issues with some day to day things. He helped me with a couple of items that were not even related to the chimney job. He didn't have to do that. Joseph is an amazing person. We had a wonderful chat too. It felt like I was visiting an old and trusted friend. He performed a detailed inspection of my fireplace system, cleaned everything well, pointed out a few minor issues, and then made a few repairs. When done, he cleaned up his workspace and collected his tools and ladder. As you might imagine, cleaning fireplaces and chimneys can be very dirty work but he is very skilled and he was super careful. I had nothing to do after he had packed up his gear and left. He then told me that the fee was just as quoted on the phone when I made the appointment. NICE! We ended the visit with a pleasant chat in the driveway as he packed his truck and then he was off to his next job. I absolutely and highly recommend Joseph and 'Lucky Chimney & Dryer Vent Services'. "Nice guys, they tried to give value by cleaning carpet at no charge but they did not ask if that was ok or why they were doing it. It is poor practice to ask if Friday is an acceptable day to return a carpet and get the answer,"Yes but we need it for the weekend". Then deliver it on Sunday without explanation. I paid nearly $700 for two chairs, a largish sectional and a 9X12 rug. Stiff by itself but I trusted the reviews on this site and expected an excellent result. Very disappointed."

They took care of general dirt and troublesome spots from pets and spills. Looked refreshed. The carpet dried surprisingly quickly. "Roy was pleasant and professional from the get-go.  We had to wait a few days to get an appt to replace the garbage disposal but I had heard how good (and therefore busy!)  he was so I was willing to wait.  He even called before the appt to tell us of a sale on garbage disposals at Costco! <br /> He arrived 5 minutes early, was clean and appropriately dressed and got to work immediately.  The garbage disposal we had purchased as the replacement was quite large and exceptionally heavy but Roy managed to handle it quite nicely.  He installed it in a reasonable amount of time and everything worked wonderfully. <br /> We asked him if he could replace two furnace filters that were in the topmost part of a 15' tall room and he readily agreed to do it right then!  We were very pleased about this. <br /> The final charge of only $70 was, in my opinion, more than reasonable so we paid a bit more to let Roy know how much we appreciated his hard work. <br /> He left a clean work area and did both jobs exceptionally well and efficiently.  I will definitely be calling him back for future repairs and fixes.  I heartily recommend Roy Gilmore. <br />"
