It was long, five to six weeks, but Kent and his assistant Orlando worked steadily until everything was complete, even the extra bits. They were both unfailingly considerate and cheerful. Kent scheduled sub-contractors efficiently, which I appreciated. He was also a good sounding board for my ideas, and I believe we worked well together. "Mike came out the day after I requested an appointment through Angie's List.  When he found he was running late on another job, he called to let me know when to expect him.  He was very professional throughout. <br /> We had no power in the bathroom wall outlets for months.  The house was built in 1979 and we have never had an electrical problem we could not fix ourselves; but even my handy plumber son was unable to find the reason behind this issue.  Mike found it quickly though, after checking fuses and searching out other outlets on the same circuit.  The ground and "hot" wires were touching in the outlet on the patio (which had been rarely used  over the years).  Mike replaced the box and wired it up correctly, and solved the problem.  All in less than an hour.  Excellent experience, and I will call him again when I need electrical help. <br />"

"I initially called Paul to obtain a quote on some minor landscape work. Which he did and came up with an accepatable pirce for the required work. However he described his expertise was in roofing and took a look at my nine year old flat roof.  The price he quoted was quite low compared ro some past quotes I received. So I accepted the bid. <br />  Actually Paul finished the roof, the major task, before the landscape. That had to be rescheduled. All-in-all the work went well, and I was satisfied with everything. But I did learn even though his site listed another employee, he is a one-man show. And he schedules work around his day time job. In other words evening and weekends. He is a hard worker and does pretty good work and if you don't believe him he will tell you. He only mention he is the "best" about a dozen times. The only turnoff was upon full payment, he strongly requested a tip. I thought this was out of line. <br /> A week later, I detected a leak in the roof. Paul came over and said ir was not from the roof. Perhaps it was from the sides and slightly raised walls surround the roof? Anyway he hit me up for more $$ to seal the wall. I would assume he would have included this with the initial roof repair? But it was the start of the monsoon season and I agreed to the additional expense and repairs. <br /> I believe Paul needs to improve his business image, document proposals better, utilize a more professional relationship with clients.and show more respect. For this reason I will not hire him again. <br />"

"We first met HRC through our decorator when the company was brought in to patch drywall during remodeling of our master bath. It's people were so professional in appearance and manner that we expected them to be expensive. They weren't. Later we employed them repeatedly to handle various jobs that arose during protracted remodeling of our house. In every job we assigned to HRC, work was delivered on time and meticulously performed. The new fibreglass French doors rejected stain, but the HRC painter just kept at it until the color was right. The accent paint he applied inside the house was beautifully exact. The workmen were reliable, pleasant and cleaned up after themselves. Every job was inspected and approved by supervisory personnel. We could not have been more pleased with the work that HRC did for us. We expect to continue to call on them for any additional work we need done. Before we encountered HRC, we thought of a handyman as someone who does home maintenance work that does not need special skill or expertise. We now see it as a term that describes one more skill set in a professional home repair contractor's repertoire. <br />"
