"Brian and his crew were amazing. They are a full-service company doing pretty much anything you can imagine in your house. We got them for a complete redo of the foundation waterproofing and drainage. We were getting nasty leaks in the basement and garage from a shoddy/incomplete waterproofing job by another contractor. Brian carefully analyzed the situation, came up with a plan and executed on it. The thing I appreciate the most about him and his crew are their thoroughness. He won't just promise a job unless he is confident it will be done right the first time and that it will address the problem. We also had him demo an old patio and misc concrete slabs around the property and pour a fresh new patio. It is big and beautiful. Again, lots of attention to detail. He took care in working around an existing fence, carefully taking parts down and replacing them when he is done. He also took care of our mold issue in the basement (which the foundation repair was a part of). I look forward to working with him for many projects to come!"

"Nick and his team did everything he said would be done. The area was clean and left as i expected. They did a great job removing multiple trees and hauled away everything that needed to be removed. They were pleasant and very easy to work with. I would definitely recommend his company and use them again. Thank you"

"Quality Waterproofing helped us with our humidity issue in our basement from start to finish. They sent someone out to measure the humidity level in our basement, then we developed a plan of how and where to install the EZ-Breathe system in our home. This was no easy task, since our home is older and access to the outside from our foundation was not easy. Andrew from Quality Waterproofing helped us to determine the best plan was to install the vent from the dehumidifier system through the glass block windows we were about to install. He personally spoke with the window company and delivered the part needed to be built into the glass block window. He also moved up our installation date to work around other basement construction taking place. The installers were extremely helpful, friendly, and professional. They're not only knowledgeable about their services and products, but also have excellent customer service. Would highly recommend to anyone! <br />"

"I wanted to widen my driveway to add an additional parking space.  Todd suggested an alternate plan that would cost less.  They relocated the existing gate and part of the fence as well as adding concrete.  The finished project looks great and is exactly what I wanted.  They hauled away all debris and left the space clean.  I would definitely use them again. <br />"

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in Mexico, MO

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
