"The call from Thermo Direct is quick after I put on Angie. The follow-ups are unbelievable. Step-by-step instructions (text or call( to keep your informed about the schedule. Unbelievable. Again. Mr. Jones did a good job and explained quite a few things without being asked. Really appreciated. He was limping because of a torn leg muscle but still managed to put the shoe cover on. Quite a gentleman. The company needs to hire more people like him"

"Tim is a good communicator, keeping me updated as per his time of arrival. He arrived on time, respected our home by placing protective coverings over his boots without being asked. Performed tests to replicate and confirm the problems I stated and snaked the upstairs drain through the shower to clear the obstruction. His pricing is on the higher side curve for these services although we were very satisfied with the service provided. I would recommend and refer Tim Campbell to others."

"This experience far exceeded my expectations and I would recommend R.W. Graham Services, LLC without reservation. Rob worked with me to repair/replace fixtures in my Moms rental property - I being half a country away relied on him completely and appreciated his responsiveness and excellent communication. I chose the fixtures delivered to him by an online purchasing store. It was a smooth and fun project. Beyond this, however, Rob offered to inspect all the plumbing in the property alerting me to the items such as the age of the hot water heater so I could keep that in mind as a future replacement. He identified the problem with the kitchen sink water pressure which was easily corrected with a lovely new fixture. Subsequently, we thought a toilet was not operating properly and Rob returned to inspect it. He cleaned parts and ran the toilet through its paces. Deciding that the toilet was operating correctly when the lever was held down correctly, Rob did not even charge us for this hour plus of his time. I know who I will be calling for my Moms tenants in the future. Rob could not be nicer, more knowledgeable, or more helpful. The peace of mind this gives me is a gift."

FAQs for drain clog or blockage clearing projects in Middlesex, NC

Snaking a simple clog near a tub, toilet, or sink often takes about five minutes. Deeper blockages along the main line can stretch the job to a few hours because the pro must feed extra cable and may need a camera to confirm the pipe is clear. Either way, specialized tools help pros work quickly and keep your drains running for the long haul.

Aggressive snaking can scratch pipes, push debris deeper, or even crack older lines. That risk is low with an experienced plumber who matches the cable size to the pipe and eases the snake through bends instead of forcing it. If you’re unsure of your technique—or your pipes are already fragile—calling a licensed pro is the safest, and often cheapest, move.

Start with simple barriers: mesh screens on every tub, shower, and sink keep hair, food bits, and jewelry out of the pipes. Skip harsh chemicals; a monthly flush with hot (not boiling) water clears light buildup without damaging plastic lines. Finally, practice smart disposal—no grease, wipes, or kitty litter down the drain—and schedule routine cleanings if you have older plumbing.

Roto‑Rooter typically charges a flat $160 to $450 for standard snaking, which may include a quick sewer inspection and basic clean‑out. Exact pricing depends on the clog’s location and complexity. Repairs or part replacements fall outside that flat fee, so ask for a line‑item estimate if your tech spots broken pipe sections or recommends additional work.

Most liquid cleaners rely on caustic chemicals that eat through hair and grime—but they also erode metal and even some plastics over time. Repeated use strips protective pipe coatings and can leave you with leaks or premature failures. If hot water or a plunger doesn’t help, call a plumber for mechanical removal instead of pouring more chemicals down the line.
