"First his integrity is zero! I hired him to soft clean my roof, followed by bleach and zinc sulfate treatment. He showed up with two off the shelf products from Lowe?s, neither contained bleach or zinc sulfate, he ensured me they would work just as well. His idea of a soft clean was to use my garden hose to hose down the roof-followed by spraying the two products on the roof. There were areas where the products did not even reach. I contacted him the next day to let him know, the roof looked no cleaner than before-true to form, no response-integrity issue again! He also said the quote included taxes-you don?t pay taxes on labor unless it?s stated separately on an itemized bill-he did not provide a receipt of any kind. His text to me before the job clearly stated-soft clean, bleach and zinc sulfate treatment. He also said the results would be visible the same day, unfortunately the roof was wet all day, so I could not tell. The photos are the day after treatment, and his text! Update as of 12/23/2025 This is in response to William landscape company about my review of his initial roof cleaning job done for me. Facts: 1. My house is approximatively 2800 sf-we agreed that he would only do the front because the back and sides were ok. 2. He quoted me a price of 650-plus fees and taxes 3. We agreed on 500 for the job 4. He stated he gave me a "HUGE" discount in his response 5. Please see pic of the quote he texted me based on pricing per sq ft. 6. The section he did was less than 1000sf-so based on his own quote, the 500 I paid was more than I should have 7. He did guarantee the product would work in lieu of using bleach and zinc sulfate 8. His idea of the #1 approved product has a 3.6 start rating from customers 9. He had time to respond but did not-until after my review 10. His resolution was to charge me half price for another application 11. He bragged to me about taking my money for basically doing nothing See pics of areas of the roof he did not treat and his quote! "Excellent, no problems. My car was new the first year I used the service and there has never been any damage during the transports. The men picking up and delivering the car have always been pleasant and cooperative. Both Ely and Guy at United Transport has been highly responsive to my needs. I would highly recommend this company."

"Pete Duda great job. He removed a large wood stove and large platform of brick it was sitting on. He installed an electric fireplace insert. "I had a brand new heat pump system installed in April 2023. They sent subcontractors to install it who were very unprofessional and they left bare wires hanging out of the machine and it did not look like it was installed correctly. It stopped working completely 4 times in 5 months, the last time was on October 10, service tech said, “I really don’t agree with the way they installed it “ he said the wires were barely connected so it kept losing power. He got it working again and left. Two weeks ago it got cold and we turned the system to heat for the very first time. It blew cold air. We made ANOTHER service call. The technician said that a switch had “gone bad” because, “they wear out” we explained that we have never used the heat even once, so how could the switch be worn out. Then they advised they had to order a part. Over a week later the part came in and they returned and that still didn’t fix. Now they say the compressor has, “gone bad” and when we reiterated that we have never even used it so how is it worn out they answered, “they just go bad sometimes” we still don’t have heat, they say they have to order more parts. We asked them to look over the whole system because we don’t think it is installed right and I am genuinely concerned that it is a fire hazard and they looked at it, put electrical tape on some hanging wires and left. We have had to take SIX days off work so far and buy space heaters and we are no closer to having a working system. This unit is less then SIX MONTHS OLD. At this point I have no choice but to pursue legal action. This whole experience has been terrible and has cost me hundreds in missed time at work and I’m still paying for a system that does not work."

FAQs for handyman service projects in Midland, GA

Winterizing shields your home’s structure and key systems from snow, ice, and freezing temperatures. By sealing drafts and tuning up heaters, you cut energy waste, extend the life of appliances and windows, and avoid surprise repair bills. A small up-front investment keeps rooms cozy and protects the value of your biggest asset all winter long.

Yes, it’s important to prepare your sprinkler system for the winter. Blowing out the lines and insulating above-ground parts keeps valves and pipes from splitting when temperatures drop. A quick winterization visit costs far less than repairing burst components in spring, and it ensures your lawn--and your wallet--stay in good shape once the thaw hits.

A full home winterization plan goes beyond sealing windows and pipes. You might schedule a home energy audit, cover outdoor furniture, service the snowblower, swap smoke-detector batteries, add outlet gaskets, and hang storm doors. Each step beefs up your home’s protection, cuts drafts, and lowers the chance of costly cold-weather damage.
