"Excellent! James turned our 1990’s bathroom into a 2021 modern bathroom in our poolhouse. This is the second bathroom he has remodeled for us and I hope to have him back for future projects. Honest and hard working. Thank you!"

"They responded quickly and professionally to the first contact (email through Angie's list). We are quite a distance from their home base so there was much phone tag as my husband and the company tried to set up a time, but it could not be worked out. We do understand the price of gas and doing estimates. But maybe in the future they could accept photos or something to give a ballpark, for example over $500 but under $1000. Then the homeowner can decide if he wants to work on setting up a further time. <br /> No comment on the quality of their work. And they were also courteous when my husband called back, they just could not get on the same page. <br />"

"Gerry and his crew installed new siding, shutters, and gutter/downspouts on my house this past summer. 2013. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for any remodeling whatsoever. I added things on as they went along, and they exceeded all my expectations, and kept it all under budget. When they were done, they cleaned up so well, you couldn't tell anyone had ever been there. My hat's off to Gerry Haas and Haas Remodeling! A job very well done!"

"<p>A great crew of friendly people. Owner was out multiple times a day to review and oversee progress. This wasn't an easy job. It was on a over 100 year old farm house and garage. The roof is steep the guys removed some of the old roof boards under the plywood to examine the ventilation. They installed baffles to improve ventilation then put the boards back before over sheeting with plywood. Ice shield was installed further up the roof than required. They also vented my bath thru the roof. The Old House now looks as it should.<br /> <br /></p> <br />"

"The auto transport service provided by United Freight of America is an A+++ organization! I reserved the covered auto transport truck and boy, is that truck fancy! It has lifts that raise and lower to load your vehicle inside, to keep it clear from the elements. I needed them to transport my deceased brother's vehicle to me in Texas- that car is my heart now as my brother cherished it so! I needed a quality company- one that I could trust and most of all, rely on to get the vehicle to me in pristine condition. They did just that! And, I don't want to forget the Driver as well as he could not have been more professional. I HIGHLY recommend this auto transport company. I don't know that I have seen a classier auto transport company. Call them :-)"

"It went great. Glenn was fast in putting together a proposal after walking through the house with me to discuss the work. He laid out a great plan, and then proceeded to execute each step as he had told me, with no surprises. He had tradesmen and suppliers lined up so that he was able to do the carpentry work with no delays. He was able to finish the work 28 days after my closing, which left me a couple of days before the moving truck came. <br /> Glenn is professional, polite, and knows his stuff. He was able to make a number of suggestions that reduced the expense of the work. He used excellent subcontractors, and I am delighted with the outcome. I will use Glenn again, and in fact am cooking up some projects for the summer that will need his help. <br />"

"Design Your Basement is an amazing service that's helping us finish our basement, so that our family can enjoy our entire house. The design process was fast and seamless. The team at Design Your Basement provides great customer service and helped us identify design opportunities that we never would have thought to include. Not long after contacting Design Your Basement, the professionals were there to measure our basement. In no time at all, they had design ready for our review, which was based on our feedback. We enjoyed our design presentation meeting and it was easy to make the changes we wanted from the initial draft design. In addition, the 3D walk-through made it easy to envision how the basement will look before anything was done. Contractors from Design Your Basement are now helping us with framing and consulting with us on DIY portions of the project. We strongly recommend Design Your Basement."

"Jeff and his wife Becky started work on my house the day and time we agreed upon. They completed the agreed upon tasks on the day I indicated I needed the work done. Jeff also completed a number of handyman jobs I had been putting off for a long time. His prices and quality of work were very good. I would contract with him for any future needs and would not hesitate to recommend him to my friends."

FAQs for remodel to accommodate a disability projects in Midland, MI

Standard Medicare coverage often doesn't extend to home modifications, such as roll-in showers. In specific circumstances where medical necessity is clearly established, limited coverage might be available through certain Medicare programs. Many homeowners explore alternative funding sources such as home modification grants, veterans' benefits, or specialized financing programs designed for accessibility improvements. Consulting with a Medicare representative about your specific situation provides the most accurate guidance.

Roll-in showers deliver significant benefits beyond their monetary return, particularly in terms of safety, independence, and long-term accessibility. By eliminating barriers to bathing, these installations help prevent falls while accommodating mobility devices, such as wheelchairs or walkers. Their open design creates a contemporary appearance that appeals to many homebuyers. For households planning to age in place or accommodate family members with mobility challenges, the functional advantages often outweigh pure financial considerations.

A standard roll-in shower installation takes two to four days. Projects requiring extensive renovation or plumbing changes may take longer, potentially extending to several weeks or months. Factors affecting the timeline include existing bathroom configuration, permit processing times, contractor availability, and material delivery schedules. Creating proper drainage slopes often requires additional preparation time compared to traditional shower installations, particularly when modifying existing floor structures.
