"I hired them for a 2 phase project. They were very unprofessional while they worked at my home. One employee spun his tires on his truck and kicked gravel all over my car. The dirt that was excavated from the project was to be hauled away. They were supposed to pour a 6" concrete slab that was at the elevation of existing driveway. They dug for a 4" slab and had to raise the forms to pour the slab. They had to raise the driveway to the slab elevation. When asked to keep the driveway open for access for my family and any deliveries, I was told by the owner that he would not pull off the driveway. They pumped out the concrete truck in our parking area and left it until it was hardened and then buried it when they back filled instead of removing it from the site. I would not recommend them for anything more than a mail box!"

"I sure was hoping to post a better review here for Blue Ridge Landscaping, however that is not the case based on the events that have unfolded. My handicapped mother and I split the cost of privacy trees for our new house. Over $6500 in total and all we have asked Steve to come back and fix the ones that have blown over. We paid an extra amount for him to come out and put stakes in the ground after they were initially installed, but they didn't seem to hold up. When he left that day he said "If you or your mom need anything, please call me". He seemed sincere, so Ididn't worry. Well we since have called and texted many times as the trees are sideways as you can see from the pictures. The only response I got was "Ok" one time and never heard from him or BRLS again. We got this referral from a local person and thought based on the google reviews, we should be good to go."

It has been amazing to work with them. Elijah and his team are responsive, come with great ideas, are professional, and they utilize an easy to review project system that was really cool (as you walk with them, they can add or remove items to your quote and it tracks it all). We started our project in March and the rain was a pain, but many times they pushed through since they knew we had a pool opening date that we were trying to keep. Think of cement as the glue and concrete as the finished product. Cement is a powdered mix of heated limestone and clay. When you blend that powder with water, sand, and gravel, it hardens into concrete—the strong, durable material used for driveways, patios, and foundations. In other words, every concrete slab contains cement, but cement on its own isn’t strong enough for a driveway.
The price to install an asphalt driveway is $7 to $13 per square foot, slightly less than concrete. However, asphalt requires more maintenance than concrete and does not last as long. A concrete driveway is engineered for lasting durability and versatile design options, while an asphalt driveway is more economical initially, yet demands increased maintenance over time. Concrete surfaces provide extensive aesthetic choices and an extended lifespan, making them a strong investment for high-traffic areas.
A concrete driveway endures for 25 to 30 years with proper maintenance and installation. A concrete driveway lasts long because its durable composition and robust construction provide excellent resistance to wear and weather. High-quality installation, regular cleaning, and timely sealing all contribute to extending its lifespan and maintaining performance over decades.
