"I bid approximately 10 different people across three categories: landscapers, contractors and masons. The landscapers were stumped given it was structural and it was graduated (grew from small to tall). The contractors were very matter of fact as were most of the masons; demo it and build it with this one brick style that they were accustomed to using. Scott came out and was very self-assured as to how he was going to tackle the project and he explained how he was going to do it and why. Prior to this however, on the phone, he sent us to his website to check out all the retaining walls he had previously done, both structural and more for esthetic purposes (my words) I will say. After he explained his approach, he then got out his brick catalog and gave us a couple of options then he would recommend. Then, he saw that we had a large tree nearby and recommended that perhaps we might want to go with a smooth vs. textured stone so that all the sap and other tree droppings wouldn't cling to the brick. This is the type of attention to detail that Scott brings to the project. He was right on budget, his team was very pleasant and very nice, and they were very clean when they were done. I would use them again in a minute. I am not sure that there isn't anything with stone that Scott hasn't done. <br />"

"Arabella Stone did excellent work. It is absolutely beautiful! They completely rebuilt sections as needed, and replaced nearly all the mortar on the outside of the house. It is now solid and looks wonderful. They also cleaned up the limestone wall in a bathroom basement. We love how it turned out. We would highly recommend Arabella. It was clear when we met Daniel how much he loves working with stone. He is a true craftsman."

"Dan is an incredibly hard working guy, and a really good landscape architect. He designed and implemented a great new look in our back yard with an emphasis on native plants that birds, bees and butterflies will enjoy as much as we do. Using some very nice limestone and red jasper, he gave the back yard style and structure that will not only look wonderful, but help us maintain the areas he has laid out by providing attractive boundaries. In the front garden, he increased the eye-appeal dramatically by containing the old plants and introducing some carefully-chose new ones to compliment them. We work at home and got to see first-hand how quickly and efficiently Dan works -- I think other companies would have taken 5 times longer than he did, and probably cost 3 times more. We are going to have him do more work going forward to help us upgrade other parts of our property."

"Dale, and his staff at Aquatic Rock Formations, is a true professional at installing, repairing, and updating water features. Dale is a problem solver, who is creative and dedicated to doing the job correctly the first time. His extensive experience led him to discover the specific issue with the auto fill on my waterfall on his first visit just three days after contacting him. He immediately telephoned me about the repair, estimated cost, and scheduled the time just a couple of weeks in the future. When an unrelated, unexpected issue was recognized during the repair, he made time in his schedule to return the following day to finish. Then he returned back within two days of the completion to make sure that it operated as expected. It was comforting to be able to reach him when questions arose. The price was both similar to the estimate and fair. I had worked with two other companies regarding the same problem with the auto fill and both were unable to diagnose nor remediate the issue over a four-month time period. I was so impressed by Dale that a number of weeks later, I contacted him about installing lights on the falls. They look fabulous! I plan on using only him for my future projects and highly recommend him for planning, building, repairing, or updating water features."
