"I signed up to have a modular log home built on an existing foundation. The builder had a number of specifications that needed to be met to get the foundation ready for the new house. I contacted 8 other companies, but no one could help me with my long list of tasks. When I finally got ahold of Highlander Waterproofing, I started by telling them I was a problem child. I listed all the work that needed to be done and Mike told me that nothing on my list sounded sounded scary. I got a couple of visits from Mario, the manager, and Mike, the senior engineer, and one of their senior job bosses. They were all knowledgeable, helpful, positive, and suggested that I use steel supports instead of concrete to save space. Work started in August when Dewey and JT started knocking off the top 2 courses of block. "The Gents" - Dewey (the job boss) Devon, Jimmy, Matt, and Dave - did wonderful work. Because of Murphy's Law, we had to knock some walls down and rebuild them because of bowing, and we ended up adding an internal French Drain. They set rebar, poured tons of concrete, dug footers, put up steel support beams, installed glass block windows, put down sill plates, and rebuilt the front where the garage doors will be. I cannot even begin to say how pleased I am with the work they did. And they were a lot of fun to boot! They let me video them daily, tease them mercilessly, and they had the good grace to laugh when my dog made off with their breakfast jerky. There is still some work to do when the house actually gets here in April - insulating the outside wall, backfilling, putting the sump pumps in, rebuilding the center wall, and digging footers for the porch. I have absolute confidence in Highlander Waterproofing and "The Gents." I would recommend them highly and with no reservations to anyone who needs foundation work. I will add to this post with the final pictures in April."

"Called on Saturday.....Kyle and Mike arrived about an hour after I called. I have a grinder pump.....which I had replaced about 2 years ago....as they said it was a "piece of junk". They educated me on the right pump that should be used. Unfortunately they were unable to get the pump out. In order to do so, tank had to be drained which could no be done until Monday. <br /> <br />First thing this morning they arrived, tank was drained, new pump and parts that blew in control panel were installed. They checked to make sure everything was running correctly......and YEAH I HAVE WATER. <br /> <br />I would definitely use them again....I believe they also do plumbing. <br /> <br />They were professional and patient......even washed grease off of driveway from old pump....Great job guys .....pleasure doing business with you. <br />"

"when tech showed up the dryer seemed to be working and heating however it did not when I called, seemed the heating element was cracked creating and off and on working condition. I went ahead to repair the problem by purchasing a new heating element. I was surprised however that the tech expected me to pay in full before he ordered the part and repaired the problem, but I did using my credit card knowing if there was a issue the credit card co. would have my back, The part was order and Alex fixed it as soon as it came in and was great"

To make it even more difficult, neighbors informed me that they were about four feet down, so this was not anything that we were going to find shoveling by hand. <br /> Fenkner was there early enough to unload his equipment and was ready to start by the estimated arrival time. He quickly found the septic tanks, three of them, and discovered one had a cracked riser cover. The cracked cover was not his fault and most likely mine for parking on it before I knew where they were located. <br /> He replaced the cover with a new one and pumped the tanks and of course covered them back up. <br /> Given the equipment he needed to locate and access the tanks, the new cover and pumping the tanks I thought the price was quite reasonable. "As usually Rich's saves the day and maybe a life, mine. My furnace keep going off. I called Rich to see what the problem. Given it is oil fired forced hot air, their assumption was that it was dirty. Yes it was dirty, however it was completely clogged up with carbon. While cleaning it they realized that the fire box had burnt through and the furnace had to be replaced. <br /> By the way the have always hated this furnace. They did not install it. <br /> It was quite a job because the intake and outtake for air flow had never been set up properly, causing residue to build up. That meant ducts had to be made....... <br /> <br />"
