"They were excellent. They showed up on time for the estimate and also when they were hired to do the project. It was all done professionally in one day and they even re-seeded our affected lawn areas at no charge. Would definitely hire them again and recommend to anyone needing this type of work performed."

"We hired MasterCat because I have been having more and more problems with allergies, and a mold inspection found two kinds of mold that I'm allergic to. We also have five pets, I build furniture, and we have been remodeling our house, so I knew that the house was full of dust, dirt, and pet hair in addition to the mold.
Donny came out and checked out the house, using my mold inspection as a starting point. While in the basement he saw a spot on the ceiling that he thought might be mold and took an additional sample to make sure he knew about all of our issues. Then he gave me a proposal for cleaning the house, which included removing the mold, cleaning the ducts, resealing the grout in our shower, and cleaning all of the surfaces in the house where mold might grow. I was a bit skeptical when he told me that this would include all of my tools and the wood in my shop, but I shouldn't have been. They did an amazing job! The house is so clean that, if I didn't know better, I would think they threw out everything and bought new things to replace the old. They followed up with advice on how to keep mold out of our showers.
The remediation took three days, and I had to board our pets and a hotel for my husband and me, which took a lot of coordination, so I was worried when I found out that their crew's truck had broken down on the way to our house the first day. I assumed that they were going to have to reschedule, which would have cost me a lot of money. But instead they pulled a crew away from another job and they started the same morning. When that crew started, they realized that it was going to be a bigger job than they estimated, so they brought in additional people to help out and finished on schedule.
All in all, an excellent job from real professionals, and I'm very glad I chose them to do this work.

"It started off fine. I started seeing cracks in the driveway. I saw the first one on February 13th, that one lead to the garage. Then I started seeing more cracks and this is on the area of the new concrete that was replaced. This is an area I do not drive on. This is the area of the driveway closest to my home. I called them three times. The first time there was no answer. The second time I got a response and called the private number from the receptionist. The third time I spoke to the owner who in turn said I needed to have the driveway sealed for a cost of $800.00, additional to what I had already spent. It was a verbal estimate over the phone. He then sent the bid out that stated the $800.00 on paper. I called them back one more time and have not received a response. I have called them due to the number of cracks increasing on my driveway."

"We had an excellent experience with Windy City Rooter. Max (the owner) and his son came to my house to diagnose the problem and give a free estimate. Unlike with other "big name" companies, I felt comfortable with their diagnosis. Windy City Rooter sends actual licensed plumbers to your house and not uneducated salesmen guessing what the problem is and trying to sell you expensive sump pumps or experimental fixes. Although the diagnosis was not good (we had a blocked overhead sewer with a leak in our basement), Max was huge help in making the ordeal as painless as possible. He explained the entire process of replacing our sewer, including city construction codes, digging, replacing pipe, sealing walls, and clean up. Windy City Rooter does all their own work, they don't contract out anyone else (one of Max's sons is in charge of the excavating). Therefore they know everything that is going to get done, how much it will cost, and how long it will take. They dug up the sewer, replaced it, sealed our walls, and cleaned up all in one day as I was at work. Max was phone call or text away, keeping me updated on the entire process. In addition he also helped by talking directly to our insurance adjuster to ensure we could get some money for the damages. Windy City Rooter is a highly experienced family run business and it is obvious that their goal is to make the customer happy. I will use them for all my future plumbing needs."

"The work was done quickly and efficiently. The gentleman who visited, Steve, was courteous and efficient. He looked at the pipe, told us how much it would cost and went to work. My workbench is right below the plug. He made a special effort to cover the bench before opening anything. He also used a mop I had sitting there and cleaned the floor dry before leaving.
Good work."

"Very personable, but it took a very long time to complete the garden plan. Brought in nice topsoil for my clayey garden beds and re-shaped them nicely, but was disappointed to find that they had not removed the old plastic edging when I tried to install my new plants.

"Very professional. They were willing to explain the work that was to be done. Recommended only the necessary work, even though we had wanted to do more. They were on time, and finished the work as promised. They did a good job cleaning up the area. We have had a very wet spring, and there has been no water in the basement."
