"I had a brand new heat pump system installed in April 2023. They sent subcontractors to install it who were very unprofessional and they left bare wires hanging out of the machine and it did not look like it was installed correctly. It stopped working completely 4 times in 5 months, the last time was on October 10, service tech said, “I really don’t agree with the way they installed it “ he said the wires were barely connected so it kept losing power. He got it working again and left. Two weeks ago it got cold and we turned the system to heat for the very first time. It blew cold air. We made ANOTHER service call. The technician said that a switch had “gone bad” because, “they wear out” we explained that we have never used the heat even once, so how could the switch be worn out. Then they advised they had to order a part. Over a week later the part came in and they returned and that still didn’t fix. Now they say the compressor has, “gone bad” and when we reiterated that we have never even used it so how is it worn out they answered, “they just go bad sometimes” we still don’t have heat, they say they have to order more parts. We asked them to look over the whole system because we don’t think it is installed right and I am genuinely concerned that it is a fire hazard and they looked at it, put electrical tape on some hanging wires and left. We have had to take SIX days off work so far and buy space heaters and we are no closer to having a working system. This unit is less then SIX MONTHS OLD. At this point I have no choice but to pursue legal action. This whole experience has been terrible and has cost me hundreds in missed time at work and I’m still paying for a system that does not work."

He handed the work off to his assistant David who barely began the project before he abandoned his client. Never returned phone calls or any messages and did not show up at scheduled times. "Rhett Ellison of Ellison’s Home Improvements is a class act. I live in NC and was charged with finding a North Georgia contractor to design, build and install outside stairrails/balusters for a 1970-something home inhabited by my 80 and 84 year old in-laws, both of whom have balance & walking difficulties. Neither set of steps was built per today’s standards so simply purchasing a kit or similar was not possible. Additionally, this issue was ignored by family members until I involved Rhett. Suddenly, he’s inundated with texts/questions for which I already had answers per our discussions. However, I needed numerous written responses from him so I could forward to these individuals doubting my ability to discuss my in-law’s needs. Rhett has the patience of Job and showed such kindness in walking me thru his ideas and explaining everything to my in-laws until they were comfortable. Rhett met with my in-laws on two separate occasions to confirm their wishes regarding and comfort with the design decisions. His work also involved replacing step with a small deck/stairs. Additionally, he created a step between a living room and a later built sunroom that required a significant step down/up due to height difference & installing two outdoor wrought iron grab bars. He contacted me the same day as I posted an inquiry on Angi’s and within 2 weeks, completed the project. I wish he lived in North Carolina! Fantastic customer service, a creative mind and a skilled professional!"

Tree was cut down and part of the trunk was cut into huge logs, one of which rolled down and damaged my property WHILE they were there (he didn't tell me)!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Will not respond to texts or phone calls. Very unprofessional."
