"I would have given him 5 stars, but had to do one star instead. I accidentally stepped on an area of my floor which looked dry (as the rest of my floor was), and left some footprints. He said he could come to "fix" the next day. marks were still there. looked like nothing had been fixed. poly wasn't spread correctly from the hallway to our bedroom, leaving it looking smeared, and he never came back to fix the prints after many texts to him.. $971 I paid and i expected much better results. i would not hire again....."

"Marcus originally promised the job would be done in less than 2 weeks, and 9 weeks later, he quit the job without finishing. For the first 2 weeks, he used our personal tools because he brought no tools to our home. He admitted to using our down payment for his personal expenses and thus he could not purchase materials for our job. He asked us for the next payment in advance for flooring, then subsequently admitted to lying about ordering flooring (he again used the funds on personal expenses), which we ultimately had to buy ourselves and have him install because we couldn't trust him to purchase materials or with any more of our money. He improperly reinstalled our dishwasher causing a major leak that we had to hire a plumber to fix. We were able to agree on Marcus paying a cash refund for the delays and unfinished work, but after significant delays. I would not recommend."

Laminate flooring is made of multiple layers of synthetic material bonded together. The top layer is made from resin, which seals and protects the rest of the flooring from scratches and stains. The decorative layer features a print image of wood, stone, or ceramic, while the core is made from high-density fiberboard and resin to provide strength and structure. You can lay laminate over most hard surfaces, but never over carpet. The soft pile doesn’t give the planks the solid, level base they need and can void the warranty. Instead, remove the carpet, check that the subfloor is flat, and roll out a firm underlayment before installation.
