"We visited Moffet's Saturday morning to find some plants to finish our landscaping project. Bob from Moffet's helped us determine what plants will accomplish our goals for repelling certain insects. He helped us pick out certain plants and what to avoid. <br /> Every question we asked he would answer or find the answer for us. Shopping for landscaping was easy here and even easier when we had help loading all of the plants. <br />"

"Jand R came in and dug out and installed all the posts in one day by hand and let them cure for a few days. We had some rainy weather so they couldn't come back as soon as they wanted but as soon as it cleared up they came back and finished it even in the drizzle while they were finishing up. Both gates they installed were hand made and look great! Our backyard isn't level and has some weird slopes. The fence is totally straight and you can't even tell the yard isn't level. They work very hard and do very high quality work. <br />"

"The project could not have went any smoother.  Being a homebuilder for 15 years, there is a great value to using subcontractors that make my job easy.  Steve definately did that!  Additionally there are becoming fewer and fewer subs that you can trust.  I would definately trust Steve to do exactly what he said he will do. <br />"

"It was a great experience. We were just thinking we would get a pool and the rest of the yard would look the same. However, Doug Fender and his colleagues didn't just build a pool. They had a plan to beautify our yard that surrounds the pool. We are so pleased with the results of the landscaping plan and the pool. The pool has been a great asset for our family and home. We have had no problems with the pool what so ever. It was a very quality job at a reasonable price. We continue to use Indian Summer Pool and Spa for our pool opening and closing every year because we know it will be a quality job well done. <br />"

FAQs for brick and stone patios, walks, and steps installation projects in Moberly, MO

When cleaning your flagstone patio, begin by gently hosing off loose dirt and debris. Use a mild solution of white vinegar and water or diluted dish soap to scrub the surface with a soft-bristled brush. Avoid using abrasive tools, such as wire brushes, as they can damage the stone’s seal and finish. This careful approach effectively removes mold and grime while preserving the natural beauty of your patio.

Flagstone naturally offers a neutral palette that includes shades of grey, black, red, yellow, brown, and tan, and its inherent color cannot be altered. Choosing varieties like bluestone provides a subtle bluish tint that complements many exterior designs. These natural hues enhance curb appeal and create a refined, timeless look in your outdoor space, ensuring a sophisticated finish with minimal upkeep.

Flagstone for a patio must have a minimum thickness of 1.5 inches to reliably support furniture and foot traffic. Using stone that is two to three inches thick is recommended to ensure lasting durability. The increased thickness prevents cracking under load and enhances long-term performance. Investing in thicker flagstone provides superior stability and resistance to weather conditions, ensuring your outdoor space remains both safe and attractive.

You can paint a flagstone patio by using a high-quality, outdoor elastomeric latex paint designed for heavy foot traffic. Painting not only refreshes the patio’s appearance but also creates a waterproof barrier that protects the stone from damage. Regular reapplication every one to two years maintains its durability and visual appeal, ensuring your patio remains both stylish and well-protected.
