"Jim Price did a fantastic job from beginning to end! We needed to update our kitchen and with Jim's visions, the results were beyond what we hoped to accomplish. He met us at several stores and was an integral part of helping us choose all components of remodel. He was organized and efficient. Down time for kitchen use was minimal. His eye for detail was amazing. Our new kitchen is beautiful and fits our style to a "T". We will certainly use Integrity Designs for our next remodel. <br />"

"The auto transport service provided by United Freight of America is an A+++ organization! I reserved the covered auto transport truck and boy, is that truck fancy! It has lifts that raise and lower to load your vehicle inside, to keep it clear from the elements. I needed them to transport my deceased brother's vehicle to me in Texas- that car is my heart now as my brother cherished it so! I needed a quality company- one that I could trust and most of all, rely on to get the vehicle to me in pristine condition. They did just that! And, I don't want to forget the Driver as well as he could not have been more professional. I HIGHLY recommend this auto transport company. I don't know that I have seen a classier auto transport company. Call them :-)"

"I received an elevator kit and assembled it myself. The instructions were OUTSTANDING! Clear, concise, comprehensive. Hired someone to cut the hole in the garage attic floor and installed it myself."

"<strong> Came out in early July to look at proposed job of building deck to be level with the backdoor threshold so as to accommodate smooth exit for powerchair.  He gave suggestions to increase size, screen it in and place doors in a different place than I had asked.  I agreed to all his suggestions.   He brought a contract on 7/20 which I signed (without paying careful attention).  He said he wouldn't be able to begin work until approximately September.  Shortly after he left I called and said we wanted to use a different color composite decking.<br /> There was no contact from him on the approximate date.  When I called him a few days later I was told it would be another two weeks before he could start.  Called him about two and half weeks later, was told it would another two weeks.  He finally  began work on 11/18/13.   Discovered he had estimated the cost using my original dimension rather than the one we agreed on after he suggested expanding the size.  Built a deck frame that is absolutely solid. They began putting the composite planks on the frame by screwing them in from the top, leaving the screw heads visible.  I stopped them, went to a supply store and bought a tool to install the planks in a way that hid the screw heads.  This upset him considerably.   After installing the aluminum framing for the screen (another misunderstanding as to type of screen) he spray-painted the raw aluminum edges and screw heads without covering the composite decking, resulting in paint over-spray on a good portion of the decking.  His comment for not protecting the deck was "Shoulda', coulda', woulda' didn't".  Three scrubbings removed the paint, as well as  some color from the decking.  The job was finished on 12/4/13.   <br /> The deck is approximately  1 inch below the door threshold, causing a rough exit for a powerchair.  The final cost was about fifty percent more than the original estimate.  I understood and paid in full.   He said the screened-in deck would be "bug-proof", but there are spaces where the aluminum frame meets the eave.  I called him and told him about the problems.  He said he would be back to do the caulking "next week" and if I could tell him how to smooth the exit he would do it.  Haven't seen nor heard from him.<br /> He built a solid deck that looks good from a distance.  If you decide to hire him, pay very close attention to the contract details and require a list of materials to be used and the cost, as well as an agreement that the cost of any unused, whole materials be deducted from the final cost.  I was left with approximately 3 to 4 hundred dollars worth of decking and screen.   And be prepared for a battle of wills.</strong> <br />"

"Design Your Basement is an amazing service that's helping us finish our basement, so that our family can enjoy our entire house. The design process was fast and seamless. The team at Design Your Basement provides great customer service and helped us identify design opportunities that we never would have thought to include. Not long after contacting Design Your Basement, the professionals were there to measure our basement. In no time at all, they had design ready for our review, which was based on our feedback. We enjoyed our design presentation meeting and it was easy to make the changes we wanted from the initial draft design. In addition, the 3D walk-through made it easy to envision how the basement will look before anything was done. Contractors from Design Your Basement are now helping us with framing and consulting with us on DIY portions of the project. We strongly recommend Design Your Basement."

"I can not say enough about how wonderful this company is from first meeting to the completion of the project. I had a large tree ruin the structure of my roof, loosen the siding, damage gutters . Travis from Roof Right met with me and spent time beyond expected to work with the insurance Adjustor to get me the money to make the repairs. I can not thank him enough! The project manager Sean did an excellent job of making sure the work was done on schedule . All the workers were so pleasant , making sure they greeted me each day they were there with other project managers on the job and keeping me abreast of what was being done that day. Despite what a busy season it was for them, they kept to schedule My roof is beautiful and better than before. My roof is the talk of the neighborhood ."

FAQs for remodel to accommodate a disability projects in Montgomery, AL

Standard Medicare coverage often doesn't extend to home modifications, such as roll-in showers. In specific circumstances where medical necessity is clearly established, limited coverage might be available through certain Medicare programs. Many homeowners explore alternative funding sources such as home modification grants, veterans' benefits, or specialized financing programs designed for accessibility improvements. Consulting with a Medicare representative about your specific situation provides the most accurate guidance.

Roll-in showers deliver significant benefits beyond their monetary return, particularly in terms of safety, independence, and long-term accessibility. By eliminating barriers to bathing, these installations help prevent falls while accommodating mobility devices, such as wheelchairs or walkers. Their open design creates a contemporary appearance that appeals to many homebuyers. For households planning to age in place or accommodate family members with mobility challenges, the functional advantages often outweigh pure financial considerations.

A standard roll-in shower installation takes two to four days. Projects requiring extensive renovation or plumbing changes may take longer, potentially extending to several weeks or months. Factors affecting the timeline include existing bathroom configuration, permit processing times, contractor availability, and material delivery schedules. Creating proper drainage slopes often requires additional preparation time compared to traditional shower installations, particularly when modifying existing floor structures.
