Well look no further than Benjamin Franklin Plumbing… I was pleasantly impressed with their work ethics… the company called me with the names of the technicians and their arrival time… They arrived on time… introduced themselves..When they entered our home they covered their shoes.. and ask to be directed to the basement… they assessed the problem and immediately advised Us of the issue and the work and what it would cost… We agreed and the workers started removing the old water heater and installing the new American made hot water heater.. they tested the water in the house for chemicals and went over everything with Us… The men were courteous, knowledgeable, informative and respectful.. "The service itself went well. The technician was on time and friendly. The price was ridiculous. They charged me $500 to change some filters and clean and inspect a system they installed. There was a leak in the system they installed, so they fixed that. The technician was at my house for a little over an hour. Even if they charge $150 for labor, that means the filters were $350?!? no way. Every time they come to my house they try to hard sell me on a new water softener. I know it's old, but it works fine. They've been trying to sell me a new one for 8 years! I'll buy a new one when this one quits working. They constantly threaten that it's going to break and cause water to leak and backup. Stop with the hard sell. It seems like they have a monopoly on the market in the northwest burbs. They know this and jack up the prices accordingly."
