"<p>I had all exterior boards on my deck replaced.  My deck is about 450 square feet.  Lyndon came out and informed me of procedure, time frame and price.  He was very courteous and professional.  He explained to me that because boards were cedar they will need to be washed to remove film prior to staining.  There was no visible film at this time, but he let me know this was needed.  I had no doubt that Lyndon could do a quality job.  He was highly recommended.  The problem was, Lyndon didn't do the work, his crew did.  It is my opinion that his crew didn't do a very good job.  When the deck was finished there were "globs" of residue on the deck, siding, fence, and patio furniture.  I had placed furniture in my yard away from deck so residue on it was puzzling.  After I complained, Lyndon came out and inspected the work.  He said not to  remove residue from deck because it contained some treatment and color. (deck was slightly tinted)  He also said residue would vanish by following spring.  Here we are almost a year later and residue is still noticeable on the deck.  The residue on siding, fence, and furniture are no longer apparent.  I had to replace 5 of the new board on the deck and someone from Wood Medic came out and treated these boards.  I was not home at the time, but they did a wonderful job.</p>"

"The curb appeal of my house has gone up exponentially. 1. Thayer's is the only company in West Lafayette/Lafayette, IN, that offers Everlasting sidings (as far as I know). These are vinyl/plastic materials, but they are thicker than the standard vinyl sidings by a factor of 10 or more. They have the beauty of wood (multiple people have mistaken them for wood, including my insurance agent). They are extremely resistant to damage and elements. They are also completely maintenance free (in comparison, even brick sidings require maintenance: the mortar joints). 2. Thayer's has a professional and friendly management team. The three Thayer brothers are courteous, punctual, knowledgeable, and extremely responsive to my questions and concerns. I am pretty fastidious, as you can see below. Example 1. I have chosen both blue and white sidings, and have strong opinions about where they should go. While I was traveling in Europe, I learned that the white sidings had not been installed in the exact spots I had preferred, due to mis-communications. I emailed Thayer's. They promptly took down what had been put in place, and put up new sidings, exactly as I would like. Example 2. After the project was finished, I had multiple concerns, repeatedly, about minor imperfections: a panel with a small crack, a trim slightly warped, etc. Every time I asked Thayer's, they got right back to me, and fixed every single issue I had raised. 3. To be clear, Thayer's is not the cheapest. If you are looking for a quick, dirty, and cheap job, there are other contractors out there. However, if you are looking for a job that you can be proud of, Thayer's is hard to beat. 4. Thayer's accepts credit cards for payments. You can get quite a number of points, if you have a reward card with a high credit limit."

"Over the past 10 years Wallace Construction Group has completed three remodeling projects for us: a two-story addition in 2007, a bathroom remodel in 2016 and a major kitchen remodel earlier this year. Marc Wallace personally supervised our two-story addition and the kitchen. The reason we have used Wallace for the three projects is that their work is very high quality, but at a competive prive. Everything is done very professionally, with everything in writing to minimize surprises. His project manager, erected a plastic barrier to protect the rest of the house from dust created by the kitchen demolition. It worked great! We are completely satisfied with Wallace's work, thanks in no small part to Marc Wallace. I would highly recommend that anyone who is considering a remodeling project to at least get an estimate from Wallace Construction Group. We love our two-story addition, bath and kitchen."
