"The company was very professional for my landscape project. Lindsay designed my front and backyard and was very attentive to my needs. She got a large palm tree for the front of the property which makes a “statement”. I have had numerous neighbors inquire about who did my property. George (one of the managers) also made some great suggestions on lawn and patio install. Finally Keith helped design the patio, made sure gutters were in place for the pavers. Ideal Lawn Solutions is a top notch company in every way. They met all of our needs as homeowners."

"Southern Outdoor Solutions, LLC did a wonderful job completely redoing our backyard! My personal favorite is the new hangout area with a fire pit and beautiful lattices. We had it ALL done, sump pump to cover drainage issues, concrete back porch extention, garden beds and borders, new Sod laid, rock laid, firepit and seating area with pavers & block, large backyard pergola, fencing around our yard, and separating both side yards. They even handled all the lighting, which makes the space perfect day or night. We are beyond pleased with their outstanding customer service, the speed of their work, and the quality they delivered. Thank you for transforming our backyard into a space we truly love!"

"Placed Cable in one Live Oak to improve main branch stability, placed mortar in one Live Oak which had two large hollows holding water, trimmed four Live Oaks to take some major banches off from over house and reduce overall volume of follage to reduce potential for high wind damage. Crew placed plywood over lawn to prevent rutting from heavy trucks, very thorough cleanup when job was completed. Mr. Cain provided great advice on what was needed and his crew did an excellent job based on his direction."

"Kevin is very professional and knowledgeable.  I used another company before that ruined my yard.  SafeLawn has done an excellent job rebuilding my yard.  I have used them for approximately one year and plan to continue to use SafeLawn. <br />"

FAQs for brick and stone patios, walks, and steps installation projects in Montrose, AL

When cleaning your flagstone patio, begin by gently hosing off loose dirt and debris. Use a mild solution of white vinegar and water or diluted dish soap to scrub the surface with a soft-bristled brush. Avoid using abrasive tools, such as wire brushes, as they can damage the stone’s seal and finish. This careful approach effectively removes mold and grime while preserving the natural beauty of your patio.

Flagstone naturally offers a neutral palette that includes shades of grey, black, red, yellow, brown, and tan, and its inherent color cannot be altered. Choosing varieties like bluestone provides a subtle bluish tint that complements many exterior designs. These natural hues enhance curb appeal and create a refined, timeless look in your outdoor space, ensuring a sophisticated finish with minimal upkeep.

Flagstone for a patio must have a minimum thickness of 1.5 inches to reliably support furniture and foot traffic. Using stone that is two to three inches thick is recommended to ensure lasting durability. The increased thickness prevents cracking under load and enhances long-term performance. Investing in thicker flagstone provides superior stability and resistance to weather conditions, ensuring your outdoor space remains both safe and attractive.

You can paint a flagstone patio by using a high-quality, outdoor elastomeric latex paint designed for heavy foot traffic. Painting not only refreshes the patio’s appearance but also creates a waterproof barrier that protects the stone from damage. Regular reapplication every one to two years maintains its durability and visual appeal, ensuring your patio remains both stylish and well-protected.
