"The crew and Jonathan, the general manager, did an amazing job! The patio is now much easier to reach, enhancing the backyard’s appearance. Their prices are extremely competitive and the transparency of the quote were the main reason why I chose them for this project. Jonathan was flexible with all the changes and adjustments we had during the project. Communication throughout this process was excellent as well. Highly recommend their services even if it’s just for a free quote."

Customers say: True professional

"Exceptional customer service! Jeff was a true pleasure to work with throughout the entire project, which included a 500 Sq foot paver patio and a French drain. He is one of the most courteous humans I have met in a very long time. He was punctual, respectful, thorough, gave great advice, and lead us through the unknowns with competence. Hie and his crew completed the project within a reasonable amount of time and at an incredibly fair price. I highly recommend! We will definitely use this company again for our next hardscape project."

"I have a lot of feedback here. I chose Green Legacy after having received a few estimates for some extensive landscaping at my home. The initial quotes were for rocking some areas, a row of shrubs and rock garden on one side of the house, pavers, removing Bermuda from shady areas and replacing with Zoysia. This was not the lowest estimate, but it included some important details that were overlooked in the other estimates. Specifically, Dominik (Green Legacy) recognized and noted that there were draining problems. With Zoysia being so expensive currently, putting git down where there are draining issues would likely result in poor performance of the turf, so drains were recommended to solve some issues. We had significant issues with draining that appear to be a thing of our past now. Regarding the project, it took a couple weeks due to weather, etc. During this time, it is impressive how well Dominik communicated the project status, what their next steps were, etc. Vlad was onsite during the entire project. I was constantly impressed such mastery with a shovel as he exhibited – somehow avoiding sprinkler lines, etc., while making quick work of long trenches to house the drains. I feel like Dominik and Vlad showed great respect for the project, our property, and us. When there rocks delivered, etc., it was always with an eye toward whether we would be able to get in and out of the garage with our vehicles, etc. Tools were put away (into the back yard) daily so as to not be an eyesore to the neighbors. I received a text message when they were coming out to start the day, which let me know when our gates would need to be opened for them to access the back yard. This is important as we have a dog that WILL run off if given the chance, so it was nice to know when to start paying attention. Since I mentioned that, here is something that means a lot to me, but may go unnoticed by others. When the days were beginning, I would go out and open the gates and tie them open so they could go in and out without having to open and close the gates – I’ve seen too many workers slamming a gate so hard it bends the hardware. At the end of the work day, they untied the gates and closed them for us. Sounds like a simple thing, but that detail adds to their already impressive work ethic. This was each day they worked, so not a coincidence. Would I hire again? I already have. We took care of all the drainage and gardens, and now will move on to the sod."

"Manley Landscaping came out on 5/23/2016. The day started not so well. I went to the back where the group had started working and asked about the sprinkler heads. I had asked John Manley if there was anything I needed to do to prepare for their visit. I even asked specifically if I needed to mark the sprinkler heads and all he said was he needed me to call 811 to get the lines located. Well, that morning I found out that it would have been good if I had marked the heads. The crew commented that they would find them as the excavated as they would be broken off and then would have to be replaced. I went ahead and started marking them as quickly as I could. The crew continued to work on my drain as well as the grading of my yard. I ran an errand and came back and they had started using the power rake on the right side of the front yard. This was before any of the topsoil had been added. Well, I thought nothing of it. The man running the rake only did a small area and said he was stopping the use of the rake as it was way too dusty. They continued to work in other areas. The topsoil was brought out. They basically spread the top soil on top of the extremely hard clay I had and ran a bucket over it to smooth it out. They finished up that day around 6pm or so. To make a long story short, when I went out to start seeding the next morning I had a rude awakening! The ground was so hard in 85% of the yard that I could barely scratch the surface with a rake. I had to scratch and scratch in order to get enough loose dirt to feel decent about spreading the seed. Some of the other areas (probably 5-10% mainly on the left side of the house) were so soft that I would sink in 1 to 2 inches just walking on it. All Manley did was spread the top soil on the hard, clay ground and then grade it. The power rake, as mentioned earlier, was used very little. Basically the entire yard was hard clay under about a 1/4" of powdered topsoil in many areas. Significant areas were hard clay right on top. You could see the sun reflect off of it. Also, the catch basins (3 in the back along the patio) were unevenly spaced with one being crooked. The bottom line is: I could have saved at least half of the cost of this job by renting a spreader and spreading my own sand. I worked so hard the next day trying to scrape the soil so I could plant the seed that I became very angry by the end of the day and just prayed that the grass would grow. I also had to rake out a large amount of large clay clods. Much, much more work than I should have had to do!! Well, it is now Oct 2nd and the Bermuda is still sparse in many areas with bald patches in several areas of the lawn. This is after watering for a significant number of days 3 times a day and after laying straw. The soil is just too poor of quality - too hard. I have hired a service to aerate the soil (should have been done with the Harley Rake) and starting next year, adding sand and slowly improving the soil. I got absolutely no advice from the landscaping crew or owner. I trusted them to improve my soil in a way that could be considered "preparing it for seed". This generally means 4-6 inches of loose soil. I had 1/4" in most areas at best! This is a warning to all, make sure you know what you are doing and what you need before hiring this group. It was a very expensive lesson for me. The picture included with this review doesn't do it justice, but you can see how hard and compacted the ground is. I shot some good video also."

"First of all, they don't answer their phone when they have a full schedule! This is a pain when you just need to talk about existing services! The owner, Roger, came out for an estimate. (Not free, by the way!) I walked around with him explaining where we had leaks (some that we fixed ourselves), what we had worked on and what we still needed done. I explained to him that we had been working on our own, trying to revamp the system ourselves, but the digging became a little too much for us. (At this point, it also would have been nice of him to explain to us how easy a few of the tasks would be for us to complete instead of him over-charging for it.) After another 30 minutes of him walking around by himself to assess the system, he told me that we needed to redo the old system in the entire front yard and that a few of the other zones needed holes repaired and new heads, etc. The quote for the entire system was way too high (thousands of dollars), so we decided not to change the front yard (because it was working fine) and to repair the broken heads, fix the leaks, and make sure that everything else was in working order. We had also dug up a 2'x12' section by the main control to repair leaks, which I asked him to cover back up (again, tired of the shoveling dirt). We agreed upon a price (which I thought still too high). His crew came back a week or so later and worked on the job. After they were finished, and left without saying anything to me, they had not filled in the 2'x12' hole and there were sprinkler heads that were still up too high out of the ground or crooked. I called Roger back (left a message) and told him how disappointed I was about his quality of service. He had his guys come back to fix the sprinkler heads (refused to fill the 2'x12' hole) and charged me over $70 more for the fixes, that we had already agreed upon him doing, which took all of 10 minutes. <br>Overall, we paid too much for a service that SHOULD NOT cost that much, and it did not get done right the first time."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Mooresville, AL

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
