"Dilemma; paint the exterior of my two story house or repair <br /> the roof first?  This was an issue I had <br /> to face not too long ago.  If having the <br /> house painted first, the new coat of paint will most likely be scratched or <br /> made all dusty and dirty by the roofers climbing up and down the house and by the <br /> flying debris from working on the roof afterwards.  If having the roof repaired first, the <br /> painters (of the house) will have to step on some areas of the roof and <br /> possibly cracked or broke some tiles that were worked on.  It was not an easy choice. <br /> I had several painters and roofers came out for estimates <br /> and each had offered different reasons why they should do the job first.  However, I was not convinced and not put at <br /> ease by most.  At the end, Richard with <br /> Federal Roofing offered the best solution for me.  He will work on my roof first.  Then if the painters happened to break some <br /> tiles afterwards, he will repair up to 10 broken ones for me without extra <br /> charge.  This put Federal Roofing ahead <br /> of the other roofers as far as I am concerned. <br /> The other reasons why I chose Federal was because Richard <br /> gave me the most detailed (but not the least expensive) estimate.  He took the time to give me three options; to <br /> repair the leaking areas only.   Re-roof <br /> the entire roof by using the good tiles of the existing roof and replace the <br /> broken ones with new tiles.  The third <br /> option was to re-roof the whole roof with new tiles.  There was no pressure to go with the third <br /> and most expensive option.  In addition, <br /> Richard was the only person who bothered to take pictures of the roof and showed <br /> me where the problems area were, unlike representatives from other companies <br /> who went up to the roof then came down and gave me an estimate, without letting <br /> me where the problems are or how bad they were. <br /> Based on my recent experience, I would highly recommend <br /> Federal Roofing to any persons who are thinking of having their roof worked <br /> on.  Richard was a true professional, <br /> easy to talk to and work with.  He took <br /> care of minor problems or issues that I had while the job was in progress.  In the end, I was very satisfied with the <br /> work he and his crew did. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"Excellent communication from the first meeting to look at the roof, through establishing the contract, scheduling, and completing the work. There was unexpected additional action required at the end of the project and, Rene, the Superintendent, followed up and had that completed ASAP. I also want to comment that the roof replacement was done on my parents' home in S.Calif. I live in the Seattle area. I had hoped to be there during the roof replacement but the timing was such that I could not be. Rene was accessible to me by phone or email if I had questions or was working through details on behalf of my parents. He always responded in a timely manner. Rene also went above and beyond by taking pictures of each stage of the project, emailing them to me with updates.
