He said he didn’t feel right leaving me and the boys without a door and even though it was late in the day (6-7pm), he wanted to come straight over and replace the door. I couldn’t believe it! He went and picked up the door, doorknobs/locks, hardware, etc and brought lights bc it was already getting dark. He did an amazing job, and I am so grateful for his help. The very next day, Wade arrived promptly, inspected my roof, and then showed me photos as he explained the situation: the flashing around the exhaust fan (as well as other places) was not properly sealed, and there were several exposed nails and penetrations. After he caulked the exposed nails and re-secured the headwall flashing, he showed me photos of the completed work. He said that if that these repairs didn't solve the problem, he would recommend replacing the flashing and the affected shingles.
