"I hired Carpet Dryclean based on its many good reviews. The proprietor, Earl Laughinghouse, responded immediately to my online service request and we scheduled a carpet cleaning in my home a few days later. None of the carpets & rugs in my home had been professionally cleaned since I installed them 7 years ago. Earl's business provides low-moisture (dry cleaning) to carpet surfaces that should not be steam cleaned. The cleaning process involves applying a special light spray to the carpet/rug surfaces which crystalizes around dirt; a large buffer is used to help this cleaner penetrate the carpet surface; then the residue is vacuumed up carefully. I was amazed and delighted at the outcome - a hallway carpet that I had given up on looks almost new, and all the other carpet areas and rugs look beautiful. Earl also brought a family member to help with furniture moving and cleaning. The entire process took less than an hour, and carpets are dry within an hour or two. The cost was very reasonable, with value added for the professional quality of work."

"The carpets cleaned was for a re-rental in a somewhat newly constructed town house. The carpets were in a fairly clean condition to begin with. So I hired this company to basically refresh the carpets on the entire top floor which consisted of 3 bedrooms, and 2 walk-in closets. Since this was a "dry" cleaning it was satisfactory for what I needed to have done. However, it the carpets were heavily soiled or showed more wear; then I would have opted for a "wet" or "steam" type cleaning which would be more appropriate for that type of condition. Overall, I was very satisfied with the job. He was quick and efficient. I would use this company again for "light" freshening of any of my rental units. However, for heavy duty cleaning, I would definitely use a different company that does a "wet" cleaning. There is a difference and it's just a matter of knowing what your needs are."

"To start off with, I had absolutely no issues getting an appointment time or with Encore showing up on time and getting the actual job done. And, they DID do a good job overall (minus leaving an odor behind that was not in my house before - I suppose I expected that cleaning the hard woods would leave behind a pleasant smell instead but that was not the case). However, my issues came with how I was dealt with over the phone. The manager ultimately recommended that I get my floors completely refinished rather than a simple clean after he came out for a quote, which I appreciated. However, I still went with the simple clean at the time (due to budgeting). After I made that decision, the manager made it sound as if he was doing me a favor by only performing the cleaning, rather than just simply agreeing to the job. On top of that, he complained several times over the phone about how we wasn't necessarily making much money on this job because of the type of cleaning I requested, and also claimed that my Angie's List credit was going to be reflected in his vague discount (even after which ended up at just over $400 for 1000 sqft. of cleaning, which seemed high to me). I'd consider hiring Encore again for the good end result, but wouldn't necessarily look forward to dealing with them over the phone moving forward."
