"Russ was an excellent contractor. He installed wood floors in the dining room and living room and also recommended how to take care of them. It's been a while since he did this job and floors look like new. Very professional and excellent manners. Highly recommended and will contract him for any new project we may have"

"excellent job, in and out in four days, clean, professional, responsible, polite, and always on time, would definitely recommend, without hesitation, the job was done right, knowledgeable, and efficient, excellent job, we're sooooo happy with our new floors, only positive things to say, would definitely would hire them again, great guys, no issues to speak of,"

"We had water damaged so we need to replaced the entire flooring of our condo and we want it the same flooring as what the builder installed. Bryan found and showed us right away the product which you could not find anywhere. Not at Home Depot, Lowes or Floor and Decor. It was a big relief when he showed us an exact match to our floor. With installation, he has a crew that is top notch. Very professional and easy to discuss and resolve issues. They left the condo clean. I would recommend the store to all friends and family. I would definitely just go straight to the store when I have flooring needs. The pricing is comparable to all big stores."

"The sales representative who came to my house was great. He was knowledgable, professional, and answered all my questions. There was less than expected communication with me during the ordering and receiving of the materials. It would have been nice to hear updates or have some contact while I waited for the materials to come in. The installers were great! Very mindful of my new floors and treated my home with respect. I ordered them food and encouraged them to take a break and drink coffee / water. I was disappointed to see sloppy trim work and the shower head leaked. However when the glass doors were installed (on a different day) that installer informed me the first shower head was broken and he had it replaced with a new one. Overall I love the new look of my bathroom. I’m still upset with the trim work because it feels sloppy and I am paying a lot for the overall project."

"I hired Vic professional to change the flooring in my apartment . He removed the carpet, and installed vinyl flooring. Job was done at high quality and professionally. Job was done in timely manner. Would definitively work with him again and recommend him to anyone."

"Luke Santos from Legacy Improvements is absolutely fantastic! He helped us with our floor installation few years ago and did such an amazing job that we asked him to take on our stairs too.. and wow, everything turned out perfect! Luke is not just talented..he’s also super friendly and easy to work with. His positive attitude made the whole process fun and relaxing. We can’t thank him enough for his hard work and attention to detail. We recently heard that Luke now owns his own business, Dreamline, and we couldn’t be any happier for him. Wishing him all the best…this young guy is definitely going places! Highly recommend Luke to anyone needing some top-notch improvements. Thanks a ton, Luke!"

HIRE THIS MAN! Integrity, artistry, and honesty -- we love Sam!

My boyfriend, Peter, and I had just closed on our new house on the Friday and wanted to refinish our hardwood floors before we moved in. Weeks earlier I had scheduled someone to give us an estimate the day after the closing (to start the following Monday), but when that contractor arrived he told us that the floors were irreparably damaged because the previous owners had painted them rather than stained them. He said we would be better off installing new floors, which he would be happy to do for about 4 times the cost of what he told me over the phone. He also told us that the flooring that we did have was not nice enough to sand and polyurethane, anyway, and if we still wanted to go that route, we would have to find someone else. We told him that we would have to think about it and waved goodbye.

I immediately got on the Internet and found Sam's Hardwood Flooring (Loc Pham). He came out the next day (Sunday) and said that he could do the job despite the black paint. He also cautioned us that the floors might be a little damaged by the paint; we wouldn't know until after the sanding. We assured him that we like "character" in hardwood floors. In fact, we were hoping that the floors would be heart pine with lots of knots and variation in the grain as well as nail holes and age, but it turned out that the floors were a soft pine (less interesting but old enough to still have character.) Anyway, Sam and his team started work on the Wednesday and were done Friday afternoon, a week after we closed on the house! He sanded the floors to their original 1878 beauty and put down three coats of polyurethane (satin finish).

Since Peter is very busy at work (in Philly), and since I live and work up in Boston, we were glad that we felt very comfortable giving Sam the keys to the house for the three days. He, Peter, and I stayed in communication via text and telephone throughout the process. Peter stopped by before the finishing to see if we wanted to stain or just polyurethane (a debate that Peter and I had for months before we even bought the house). I was FaceTimed in to the discussion. In the end we decided the floors were simply so pretty that we would just do the poly to emphasize the old country charm of the wood. I mean, the floors look F'ng AMAZING! We are beyond thrilled.

That first guy obviously thought he would upsell us. The other day I ready a quote in a design magazine, "Only in America would a person rip up high quality 150 year old hardwood flooring worth $15 - $20 per square foot only to install inferior and flimsy modern flooring worth $3 per square foot." I laughed. In the end our project was affordable and we got the real deal.

I wish you all the best with your projects!

"They were excellent. From the 1st phone call to get a quote, until the job was complete. They showed up when they said they would to see the floors before they did them and on the actual day. The floors look beautiful. I would definitely use them again."
