"Weather impacted the time line but we knew from our first meeting that Mr. Arthur was the right contractor. He talked us through the process, gave us ideas to help design the deck we wanted and he and DeDe kept us informed throughout the entire process. We Are very satisfied with the work and get lots of compliments, even other contractors who have come for other jobs have complimented the workmanship of the fence and deck. They are great people who stand behind their work. I waited a bit to post my review to see if they would come like they said if there were any issues and when we had a minor issue, they came within that week and took care of the issue. "Repeat customer, first time they did a wonderful job back in 2017, hired them again in 2022 for a continuation of my fence and was disappointed. Scheduled the install date 1.5 months in advance, took a vacation day in advance so I could be home, and they showed up on the wrong day, called me from work, and I had to ask to leave work early. They never once apologized for making me leave work and wasting a vacation day even though the paperwork showed they were wrong. They didn't clean up any of the scrap pieces they cut off of the vinyl fence install, they left cellophane wrap, candy, and band aid wrappers all around for me to pick up, that my dogs could have choked on. They also never collected any of the 15 softball sized rocks they dug up, just left them in my yard. Customer service was lacking, reached out to the company and still haven't heard back from them in over a week now."

"Called Allied Fence, O.W. (Rusty) Rust came to review our request, he told us that he will provide us with a quote the next day, which he did not, I called him back and received the quote. I send him an email to tell him that I will be back to him as I was getting other quotes and needed approval form our HOA. A month later a called Rusty back to check when he will be able to come back because the HOA did not approve my submission. Rusty told me that he will call me this before the end of the week or the next Monday, this was two weeks ago. So I will be doing business with another company."

"I am very happy with my fence. It took a few weeks to get the installers out to the site, but once they were there, the installers were very impressive. They put up the fence in one day, working non-stop through a thunderstorm. I don't think much of the crew spoke English, but it wasn't a problem. They did a top notch job. The fence is very well constructed and sturdy. Everyone who comes to visit comments on our fence and says how nice it looks."

"We unexpectedly had to replace our roof. Rod (owner) came to our home, inspected the roof and helped us come up with the best solution for replacing our roof. The installing crew was on time, worked very hard and did a great job including a thorough clean-up. Angela (assistant) handled the administrative tasks and was a pleasure to work with. Southern Specialty is a very reliable business, run by someone who cares about his clients and his business. We highly recommend them ~ the best contractor experience one could want."

"Great customer service by the on-site estimator. The two carpenters were highly skilled and quick, constructing the fence in four hours start to finish. My complaints are that once I paid half of the quote as a down payment, I didn't hear from the scheduler at all. After a week, I finally had to make the call to make sure my fence was scheduled and that I wasn't swindled. The other is the miscommunication between the office and the carpenters, as the fence was being constructed with a stepped pattern. Luckily I got this corrected early in the framing."
