"My husband and I had several different companies come out to give us quotes for our fence. We were getting discouraged because we felt the quotes we were getting were made-up prices. He returned our call right away and came out to home the next day. He was the only company that came out and walked our yard with a measuring tool. Making sure the measurements were correct and not guessing. The wood was ordered the next week, and the fence was installed the week after. The installers were quiet because we did not know they had arrived to install the fence. That is how professional his crew was, and they were well-mannered young men. Mr. Donnell then came to expect the installation making sure it was to our liking. Awesome customer service and quality of work. "Robert J Fence installed a 6" privacy fence in my backyard (approx 400"). My lot is fairly steep and about half of the fencing went up through woods. Robert came out himself and quoted the job. He was very professional and knowledgeable. They used quality materials, individual pickets and the fence was put together with screws(not nails); it is very sturdy and they used a fixture to keep everything even. I recently had 3 different concrete contractors come out to bid on a patio and all of them complimented the workmanship and quality of the fence and asked me who had built it. I would highly recommend them!"

"this company has changed , last year they did my fence and did a great job and was very responsive to correct a problem . this year very different customer service from Paul , I had them install a fence at my daughter and son in laws house . the fence was very uneven they did not even try to correct . my son in law and my self corrected all the defects Paul said was impossible . refused to come back out to fix and kept talking over me when i was trying to explain the problem. and no offer of compensation at all just excuses , very sad what happened to their customer service in a year"

"Watson iron and steel did our railing for our back porch in 2019. They had to come back and make some corrections, but all in all, we were pleased with their work. We had them come back out a few months ago to measure for our new railing on our front porch. We told the man who came out to literally replicate the railings THEY made to match the back porch exactly. He looked and the back railings, measured the height, the distance between the pickets, etc. I was very clear, and he seemed to understand perfectly… it was simple “just make the exact same thing you made last time.” Yep, got it! Well apparently it wasn’t as simple as it seemed! On the order, they added additional posts instead of screwing into our pillars, and they added twice as many pickets. The communication between the man who came to take our order and the woman who executed the order was obviously quite poor. They told us that they needed to come out and measure again since we didn’t want the additional posts, and even though it was their error, they still charged us an additional fee because they had to make another trip out. We argued endlessly about the fee, but finally gave up and just paid the fee. It was ridiculous. fast forward to today… It still isn’t what we asked for! They did screw the railing into our columns instead of installing additional posts. But we still have twice as many pickets out front as we do in the back. It looks tacky, and after shelling out over $3K for the tiny railing, I hate it. I asked my husband what he wanted to do about it, and he said not to bother because there’s no way they’re going to fix it now that we have already paid them. Isn’t that sad? That we’re not even going to bother trying to work things out with these people because we know they won’t do it. And don’t forget, we’re repeat customers. ? I wish there were more iron companies in and around Charlotte, but sadly, this seems to be the only one. The first picture is our back porch railing. There are 6 inches between the pickets. The second picture is our front porch. There are 3 inches between each packet. They definitely don’t match."

"Update to my 2018/2019 bathroom renovation - the tile they installed is now cracking and the grout is coming loose with many pieces falling out. This after being careful to seal and wipe after down after taking a shower. Having to remove all of it and redo. I initially gave a 5 star as looked good, but the quality of work was indeed sad in the end. Now looking to replace it after only 6 years. Highly disappointed."
