"Created a toxic mess on the floor that took several hours to clean up. I requested a more detailed explanation of the problems he mentioned but no one did what I asked, even after several attempts on my part. Will not use again."

"Lemus Electrical was very responsive when we had a three-day outage. A technician came the same day I called, and came back one day later with 3 others to install a new electrical panel - which had been ruined by a transformer blowout. They were very professional, did very good work, and were cheerful about it all. I will definitely call them again, the next time we need electrical work!"

"I honestly can’t say enough great things about Green’s Electric. After nearly 30 years in our home and working with countless contractors, this was hands-down the best service experience we’ve ever had. From start to finish, they were both professional and genuinely personable—something that’s rare to find. They even showed up a day early, which ended up working perfectly for our schedule, and completed the job quickly without sacrificing quality. What truly stood out was that they didn’t just fix the issue—they took the time to clearly explain what was going on and made sure we understood everything. That level of care and communication made all the difference. If you’re looking for reliable, timely, and top-notch service from people who truly care about their customers, you absolutely cannot go wrong with Green’s Electric. I would recommend them without hesitation—this is the gold standard for home service."

"This company is not consistent and there is zero support if you have an issue with their work. We hired them twice. The first time was fine, thank you. The second time, very bad. The technicians had two jobs. Both were done with little common sense and not as agreed on the quote. One of the outlets, they installed deep inside the inner wall, hole where a cabinet + light fixture had been removed. When this wall patched, the new outlet we paid for would need to be covered over and unusable. I ran after the technician and asked him to move it forward. The second outlet was supposed to go on the wall. But they installed it inside of an old cabinet that was slated for removal. When we took down the cabinet, are left with loose wires and safety hazards near the kitchen sink. When I brought this to Delectricc's attention, they are not going to fix anything. Said the hazard is because we "moved" the outlet. - yeah, we removed the old cabinet as planned. Their tech set it in the wrong spot."

"Do not use this company. They will rip you off. The contract was for eight 300W LED 40 ft pole lights, but I caught them redhanded installing 240W. Who does that? Then, they broke my lock and broke into my sprinkler room which I saw on my video which they admitted. Then, Kolb sued me for not paying the bill which I disputed due to lost tools as result of the break-in. Who does that breaking into a customer's sprinkler room and not informing that they did. I had to catch them on my video. Not only that it took over one year to the work proposed work. TOTAL FRAUD. I will be going to court...."

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Mount Rainier, MD

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
