As Roberto worked on the dormers he found significant water damage below the shingles, documenting it with photos for us. Although it cost more than the original estimate to replace the flat plywood sheaths and wood fascia, it was still reasonable and the work done was thorough and looks great. "

"William Mackay is a generational roofer in the area with tons of experience on all kinds of roofs, including slate, flat, and shingle roofs, specifically in DC. Our main roof is slate but the back additions are asphalt shingle. After promptly repairing holes in the pitch of our slate roof he approached us with an issue regarding our back addition. He showed us a video his men took of how it was improperly installed and that we would be having issues with the roof - if not now, then in the very near future. IT was shingle stapled into metal roof - no wood or anything which is not up to code. He gave us no pressure at all but it was clear we would be having issues with the roof. We decided to have it reinstalled and that day (it was a Friday) he brought two work teams on site to have it done that afternoon. Bill clearly explained all the issues, stayed on site the entire time, and worked with us in a very professional manner. I would highly recommend Bills' professional service to others."

"Exterior Medics did a great job. I had roofing and siding damage from the major windstorm that swept through Northern Virginia in early 2018 so I had to compete for a roofer along with the multitude of others in the area who also were trying to repair their roofs. I contacted Exterior Medics after one firm failed to arrange for an estimate despite having talked to them several times. Exterior Medics fit me in within a week after I called. They kept me apprised as to when supplies would be dropped off and when work would commence. They did the work when promised and finished promptly. The company was great to work with and I will go to them again if I need any additional siding or roofing work done."

"We first became aware of this company at a home expo. We were in need of additional insulation in our attic and were looking into a ridge vent being installed as well. During inspection, we realized we needed a roof too. We negotiated a fair price for all three requested jobs and work started about a month later. During the job, the workers mistakenly trashed our gutter helmets and some were damaged beyond repair. We discussed this with our project manager and they were ultimately replaced free of charge. During the insulation install, the workers dropped a hammer through our ceiling and left a hole. It was repaired very nicely within a couple of days and you can’t even tell it happened. The cleanup after was very thorough. I found 1 or 2 pieces of metal after, but that’s nothing compared to what I’ve seen other companies leave behind on jobs for my neighbors. Overall, my husband and I are very pleased with the work performed and the price paid. Aside from the somewhat pushy sales tactics on the front end, I’d highly recommend this company."

"After contacting six roofing contractors for replacing our roof, we met with Michael A from HCR who spent several hours explaining his company’ quality materials used, time line for replacement and financing available. We decided to choose NCR (Home Fix Custom Remodeling). The workmen arrived at 7:45am and finished the work by 4:30pm. This included removal of the old shingles, installing new quality underlayment, new shingles, chimney flashing, new roof edging and a thorough cleanup of the old roofing materials, and removal of old nails in the yard.
