"GenEnt inspected our sprinkler system, fixed some problems, and gave us a list of things that needed to be done to get the system in tip-top condition.  His estimate was about $500 to do all the work.  I'm not sure if this is a good price or not since I don't have anything to compare it with.   He also reset the timer for the watering to go off.  I felt the work provided was fair for an Angie's List Big Deal purchase and would definitely consider him for future work.

"I purchased an Angie's list coupon for this work back in May, 2014.  The coupon was set to expire in November , 2014.  Due to issues and problems in obtaining a tree removal permit from the City in which I live, I was unable to get the work done until quite recently.  I contacted Vince to let him know about the issues back in October.  He told me there would be no problem and he would honor the  coupon  price even though it would be past the expiration date.  I was finally able to get the permit and Vince and his staff removed the tree on 1/17/2015.  They did an excellent job.  The were very safety oriented, and obviously knew what they were doing.  After removing the tree, they cleaned up my front yard.   On 1/23, they returned to grind the  stump and large surface roots.  They had to be extra careful as there is a PG & E gas line under the stump, but we didn't know how far down.  They were able to complete the grinding safely and without any problem.  They again clean up my front yard after they were done.  
Vince and his staff were outstanding, professional, and ensured the work was done safely.  I highly recommend them for tree removal.

"Now that it's done, there's not a day goes by that I'm not thrilled I hired Melvin to update my gardening! We struggled to grow grass, and we wanted a space that would accommodate a a small garden, as well as a dining and sitting area. Urizar Landscaping redid our front and back yards, and was able to help me pull out our grass, too! In its place is a gorgeous colorful garden with a quaint stone path that runs from one end to another. His workers were courteous and hard-working and the work was done well and efficiently, including removing the day lily, roses, dead sections of the bamboo and all the palm, as well as non-bamboo vegetation among the bamboo from the roots so they would not grow back."

"For lawn I use JMP.  JPM Landscaping I have used them. I found them on Angie's List. The staff that came out were very courteous and knew what they were doing. It took them about 3 days as they were doing a couple of jobs with it. They did a perfect job and that is why we happen to have them back again and right now we are in the process where they are going to make some changes for me. I will use them again in the future and in fact my neighbor was asking about them today too."

    Aeration:  Quick but thorough.  I've done my own aeration in the past so can assess job quality

    Fertilizer:  Applied fertilizer and pre-emergent and post-emergent herbicide as part of the service

    Clean-up:  Thoroughly swept all areas around the lawn

    Knowledge:  Very knowledgeable and forthcoming regarding lawn and weed-related issues.  Had a number of valuable suggestions for how we could improve our lawn's soil condition and enhance water retention (water conservation)  

 

Price: 

    Very good.  $72 (including 10% Angie's discount) for approximately 2000 sq ft of lawn

 

I'll definitely be using Rotarea in the future.
