"This guy is a fraud. He has about 5 reviews two of them were from his son and wife who gave him a score of 5/5 without any comments. He came and installed two main drains and caused damage to the piping by the equipment. Folded the winter cover wrong and was told to repair the damage he caused and to redo the cover. He promised he will after he got the money and ran away. I called more than 20 times, left voice and text messages and he won't care to respond. After 2 months he said he won't day any more needed repairs because he thinks I won't pay him which is a lie. I never negotiated his price and paid him immediately without delay."

"The absolute worst! These guys "opened" my pool. PJ, the owner and an employee were on site. I had to spend two hours helping them because they couldn't figure out how to attach the railings and diving board. They didn't vacuum! They didn't even attempt to balance the chemistry. They didn't turn on the heater, unless you count pressing the on button. It was not working, and needed repairs which I wound up doing myself, they didn't bother to check it, at all. Worst of all, they failed to tighten the bolts on the diving board, and as a result one of my kid's friends got injured when the board went sideways. Stay away. Literally, anyone else is a better choice."

"We engaged Tom Burrell of TD Burrel D&S for a deck renovation project that involved updating an aging wooden deck with TimberTech composite decking. From the outset, Tom demonstrated exceptional craftsmanship, creative spirit, and a deep understanding of the materials. We selected Tom due to his expertise and experience with TimberTech, his competitive pricing, and his flexibility with the project scope. We received quotes from three other deck companies, all of which were more expensive and less accommodating. Tom was thorough, detailed, flexible, patient, and kind. We recommend Tom and his work, however, a few considerations to keep in mind: 1. Our project was planned for 2023 but was ultimately delayed into 2024 due to unforeseen financial circumstances and impacts from other projects. Though unplanned and unfortunate, Tom maintained consistent communication with us throughout this period. 2. Tom operates mostly as a one-man team. While this is reflected in his lower overhead costs, it also means that the project pace will likely be slower compared to companies with larger teams. Our project was initially scheduled for a few weeks but ultimately took several months to complete due to necessary structural corrections, additions to the work order, intermittent issues with equipment and weather. 3. One of the easiest ways to save on pool maintenance is to start completing some regular pool maintenance tasks yourself. While more serious repairs should be left to the professionals, routine tasks like skimming your pool to remove debris or checking the pH are tasks that can be accomplished on your own.
The lifespan of your pool is determined by its construction and materials. In-ground concrete pools offer a lifespan of 50 years. Fiberglass pools deliver over 30 years of service. Vinyl-lined pools have a 20-year lifespan with a required liner replacement every six to 12 years. Above-ground pools typically offer a lifespan of eight to 15 years.
It’s best practice to drain and refill the pool every three to five years to maintain the water's purity and flush out accumulated solids. Avoid draining the pool completely, as this can damage the structure. If you're not experienced in pool drainage, it's best to have a pool professional handle the process to protect both your pool and its surroundings.
