We agreed on a price. He returned when promised and completed the job.  I was very happy with the outcome, so when I wanted to get estimates for a very large renovation, I again called Smart Dova. He gave me a detailed estimate, and a start date. When he began the demolition, he brought a large crew. For every phase: demolition, reframing, insulation installation, the necessary wiring, installation of fixtures, drywall, painting, and refinishing the fireplace and the hardwood floors, he had an appropriate crew for the work.  He discussed each phase with me. "Installers did not come on time, two hours late. Then they had to validate that we paid Empire, which took an hour. The estimate of work was totally wrong, we were supposed to get a floating floor but the installers said they could not do that So they instead did a complete teardown of the existing floor and removed all the old tiles. The quarter round was included in the price of the materials but was never installed because we did not get a raised (floating) floor. So I think I was overcharged for the materials which were not used. I spoke to a number of persons at Empire about such issues without any resolution to my satisfaction. Besides all the problems encountered we do like the floor and it nice looking."
