"This is to amend my previous review which was an F. I finally have heard back from Ray and he said that he was waiting for me to call him because I mentioned that I was waiting to hear from the city on how a small part of the foundation had to be done. So it is possible there was a mis-commuication and in all fairness to Ray I would retract my previous review. <br />"

"This Company exceeded what we hoped for in a roofing company. We had a few special needs, and they went out of their way to make it all work - no extra cost. They were honest, fair, and very professional. If you need a great roofing company, this is the one!"

"This was my second job with Paul Tucker Concrete.  Luke his son is assuming the business and all my dealings were with him.  I was very impressed with Luke's earlier work in April 2014 that I had him come back to do this current job in October 2014.  Again I was more than pleased. <br /> Luke is involved from start to finish.  He gives a very accurate and fair estimate and meets the timelines he gives.  He is very reliable and I have complete trust in the work that he does.  He is a perfectionist and makes sure the work is done properly.  The quality of his work is industry standard and he does not cut any corners on his workmanship.  I appreciate his work ethic, and I have paid even above the estimate when I saw that there were additional time issues due to very rocky soil that he was not aware of at the time of the estimate.  Luke did not ask for anything above the estimate but because of his fairness in the estimate I wanted to be fair in return.  The cement work looks great and I am very happy with his work. <br /> I have another small cement project that I need to have do, and I will be calling Tucker Concrete. <br />"

"It's been awesome and they just finished yesterday. Redgie is right on top of things and my house looks awesome. They were all very positive and Redgie got right back to me. I had no idea what it entailed and when they told me it would take a couple of days it took longer, but that was because the guy who actually does the stuccoing was talking about putting on the first coat. We got it all straightened out and he was just awesome. Redgie wrote up a very professional contract and I'll make the final payment today on it. I thought it was an awesome experience. I've talked to them about a kitchen remodel and that will probably happen in the winter."

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in Murphy, ID

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
