Tom and Adam and the team not only gave me peace of mind moving forward with drainage, put in gutters, and re-did the entire exterior of my home (stained wood and stucco), but made it beyond beautiful!! They were communicative, timely, so easy to work with, and the end product is gorgeous. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a construction project done and can't wait to use them again on my next project!!"

"Del Rey Paving exhibits predatory sales practices, failure to deliver on promises, inadequate design, errors in construction, failure to abide by warranties, seeking funds out of contract in order to maintain “good faith” relationship, unresponsiveness, and poor service. After a very high-pressure sales pitch (disguised as a design meeting) with all the accoutrements (fancy PowerPoint demonstration, a copy of their impressive surety bond, commitments that they will stand behind us, and a discount that magically expired the same day) and a commitment that the 25-year warrantee covers everything but seismic and trees, Del Rey Paving completed our $72k backyard paver project in September 2023. Over the next few weeks, the pavers began to separate, sag, and crown. Also, the drainage in many areas was toward the house, not away from it. They did come back a couple of times to remove pavers, recompact, and reset. However, when failures continued, they asked us to let the system fail for another year so they would only have to do a major rehabilitation once. When that year elapsed, they were nowhere to be found. Very difficult to get them to come back out. Then, instead of fixing the failed system, they had a soils engineer evaluate. The engineer's soils report described the underlying soils in precisely the way we had described and physically showed them two years prior to the Senior Design Consultant. The report also recommended construction means and methods to properly support various structures, including paving. The report recommendations were vastly different than how Del Rey Paving actually constructed the paving system two years prior. They recently sent an email essentially saying they didn’t want to keep spending money on their failed system. They also claimed the warranties would not cover the repairs. They are attempting to simply walk away, leaving us with an unsafe, embarrassing backyard and a worthless major investment."

They were on time, under budget and provided impeccable service. They showed up every day, full crew and were responsive to every communication I sent. Now when have you ever experienced that?!?!? "I've used Avalin Design Construction Co. for at least two jobs on our properties, including one seismic retrofit. Both times, Fred and his team have done an outstanding job from start to finish. They came to our house to do the estimates for free and provided them in a timely manner with a detailed description of what they’d be doing. The work crews executed the tasks to perfection, and Fred also took care of all the required permits. For the seismic retrofit project, they even handled all the documentation required by EBB. They are simply awesome, and I highly recommend them."

"SureShine Stone Care And Marble Restoration gave my house a profesional business stature refinishing of all stone work, both Travertine and Marble. They were the nicest, hardest working most honest crew one could imagine, doing Two Bathrooms upstairs and a Kitchen downstairs at the same time, to be done on the same day, always cleaning, polishing and buffing. They produced a great result and fixed a counter chip that needed restoration as well."

"Overall the project was fantastic, and Seth was great to work with. From taking the concept my wife had, Seth drew up a plan with everything she asked for, and we were able to scale back where needed for budgeting purposes, so he helped us rework from the original design to where we ultimately landed. Timing - he began on time, and finished early. Project lasted a total of 5 weeks. Budget - he was spot on to the original budget. We did make changes to some items, and he kept a running change list that was helpful to keep us on track. Team - The guys were amazing, and took exceptional pride in their work. I got to chat them up quite a bit, and they’ve been with Seth for many years - which was an awesome sign, because I’m guessing you don’t stay of things aren’t going well. They were here everyday from 7-3:30, and the few times that they weren’t, we had a heads up. We even got a heads up when it wouldn’t be the full crew. Communication - pretty sharp, zero complaints here. We knew what was going on, when it was happening, and Seth was here almost everyday for at least a period of time. Overall, they were great - and we will use them again for our front yard, hopefully sooner rather than later."
