"Jenna Billman was fantastic. Even before we traveled to Cape Coral to visit prospective homes, Jenna sent us numerous homes to consider to help narrow down the homes we might want to buy. She walked us through every step, even conducting a video pre-closing walk through as we could not attend in person. Jenna is extremely thorough, professional, and incredibly personable, I cannot recommend her more highly!! You will be very happy if use Jenna to buy or sell property in SW Florida!"

"Excellent, no problems. My car was new the first year I used the service and there has never been any damage during the transports. The men picking up and delivering the car have always been pleasant and cooperative. Both Ely and Guy at United Transport has been highly responsive to my needs. I would highly recommend this company."

"It went well, the work quality is very good and he is willing to answer questions for any part of the project. Cost was reasonable even with a couple small changes. I plan to use them again for a future project as well."

"This is a wonderful company to work with. They upgraded my home service from 1956 100 amp service to current 220amp service nearly 14 years ago. I was question about a noted comment from my 4-point inspection report for a new insurance policy that described an old cloth covered wire they assumed was aluminum (that was replaced during the panel update) that was present but had been capped off and was not in use. Insurance companies want things their way and asked me to have this wire replaced with a copper one. By a certified electrician. Long story summary: the owner came out and removed the old run and capped the panel. After 14 years. They backed up their work. "

"I received an elevator kit and assembled it myself. The instructions were OUTSTANDING! Clear, concise, comprehensive. Hired someone to cut the hole in the garage attic floor and installed it myself."

"This story goes back a few months but I want you to have the complete context. Back in March 2022, I contacted SW Florida Electric to service the Briggs and Stratton generator at our home. The generator was installed well before we bought the house so I cannot comment on how it was serviced in the past. The technician came and gave the unit a clean bill of health but said he could not touch the regulator because that wasn't his job. He also suggested that we sign a three year service agreement because it would save us money. That made sense at the time given that the generator was important and I wanted to ensure it was looked after correctly. Fast forward to September and the arrival of Hurricane Ian. The generator failed after four hours leaving us without power for 3.5 days. When they came out to look at the unit about a week after the storm, I was told the unit was not worth fixing and they would send me a quote for replacing it. Strange that it was fine back in March when they took a $1,500 service contract for it but then when it failed to work, it was not worth fixing. They did provide a quote to replace it that was thousands of dollars more than competitive quotes. I wrote to them asking them to cancel the service contract. Nothing. No acknowledgement. Just crickets. I don't normally write bad reviews but these guys have stretched my patience. It's pretty simple really. I don't need a service contract for a generator that they say is not worth fixing so please refund my money."

FAQs for remodel to accommodate a disability projects in Naples, FL

Standard Medicare coverage often doesn't extend to home modifications, such as roll-in showers. In specific circumstances where medical necessity is clearly established, limited coverage might be available through certain Medicare programs. Many homeowners explore alternative funding sources such as home modification grants, veterans' benefits, or specialized financing programs designed for accessibility improvements. Consulting with a Medicare representative about your specific situation provides the most accurate guidance.

Roll-in showers deliver significant benefits beyond their monetary return, particularly in terms of safety, independence, and long-term accessibility. By eliminating barriers to bathing, these installations help prevent falls while accommodating mobility devices, such as wheelchairs or walkers. Their open design creates a contemporary appearance that appeals to many homebuyers. For households planning to age in place or accommodate family members with mobility challenges, the functional advantages often outweigh pure financial considerations.

A standard roll-in shower installation takes two to four days. Projects requiring extensive renovation or plumbing changes may take longer, potentially extending to several weeks or months. Factors affecting the timeline include existing bathroom configuration, permit processing times, contractor availability, and material delivery schedules. Creating proper drainage slopes often requires additional preparation time compared to traditional shower installations, particularly when modifying existing floor structures.
