Small jobs welcome

I’ve been building since 2009, when I trained in residential carpentry and learned under top craftsmen. Over the years, I’ve specialized in custom cabinetry, finish work, and detailed builds, with projects featured in Southwest Georgia Living. I’m also the builder behind a custom drum company, crafting high-end instruments for professional musicians—bringing precision and creativity into every project I take on.\n\nBased in Georgia, I serve local areas and can travel for the right job. My skills include custom woodworking, design-focused builds, and high-end craftsmanship.\n\nI don’t cut corners—everything I build is made to last. I take pride in my work and treat every project like it carries my name, because it does.

"Micah removed all my old kitchen cabinet doors and drawers.  He then sanded the box of the cabinets, and primed and painted the box. <br /> I had picked out the wood doors that I wanted and he finished them in a truly professional finish.  He installed new drawers.  The doors and drawers have the soft close slides and hinges.  He even put crown molding on the cabinets to match the crown molding in the rest of my kitchen.  He answered all my questions and helped me to pick out the pulls and knobs.  I am so pleased with the fresh new look of my cabinets.  They do not look refaced.  They look new. <br />"

"I worked with Jody Gentle, and he and the Braswell Construction Group delivered on their promises and workmanship.  I was especially impressed with the work on the roof.  The crew arrived on time and worked diligently to get the roof done in one day. Jody was here several times during the day to make sure everything was performed as contracted. The crew put down protectors for my shrubs which are all around the house and none were damaged, and the clean-up was unbelievable.  I had a whole dumpster full of roofing material once they were done and I loved that they sweep the property with magnets to collect all the nails. <br /> Jody and I walked the property at the end of the day as he wanted to make sure I was a happy customer with the roof. The rest of the project was done within a couple of days. <br /> I can say we are extremely happy with the Braswell Construction Group and will use them again in the future. <br />"

"They're a subcontractor for Home Depot. They did everything. They were fine. If there was something wrong, we called Depot and then they came out and fixed it. So, there was no problem with that. But the only other thing was, there was a little problem at first, with the inspections. They weren't quite up-to-date with what had to be inspected and what shouldn't be inspected and that sort of thing. One guy came in here and it was the wrong inspector and they were going to go along with it. At first, I was a little bit upset about that. So, I called up on my own and talked to the inspection department and got it straightened out because it was going to cost an even bigger amount than I paid. They came back here and they said we had to put hardwired fire and smoke detectors in the house because we were remodeling. I said, I was remodeling one bathroom, not the house. So, we got that straightened out. The price was pretty high. They had good guys who knew what they were doing. It was just one of their inspectors."

"I had Mr. Bill completely paint the outside of my home which was done flawlessly. I had realtors complementing the work. I then hire him to remove wall paper, prep the walls, paint the walls and trim, repaint and finish all kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities and repair a damaged wall. I must say we are more than pleased with the work and professionalism shown. Mr Bill went above and beyond what was asked and did it with great care. I would recommend him for any painting job you have."

FAQs for cabinets reface projects in Nashville, GA

Absolutely. Refacing returns 65% to 80% of your investment at resale, and you get an updated kitchen right now. Because you’re not paying for new boxes or demo work, the price lands well below complete replacement but still delivers a fresh, custom look that buyers—and you—notice every time you walk in.

To trim costs, start by pricing a high-quality paint or gel stain instead of full refacing—stain alone can be one-third the price of full refacing. Keep existing hinges and pulls if they’re in good shape, and shop sales for sandpaper, primer, and sealer. The sweat equity is real, but so are the savings, and a careful DIY job can still leave your cabinets looking sharp for years to come.

A professional crew needs only three to five days to reface a standard kitchen, although a larger layout or intricate door style may add one to two days. Compare that with the several weeks a full cabinet swap can drag on. In other words, you get your space back fast, often before the paint on the new doors is even fully cured.

Yes, you can replace just the cabinet doors and drawer fronts without covering the cabinet boxes. Cabinet refacing involves installing new doors and drawer fronts while applying veneers to existing cabinet boxes. If you’re satisfied with the condition of your cabinets, swapping doors and drawer fronts reduces labor and materials, saving you time and cost. Always consult a professional to confirm compatibility and ensure a seamless, high-quality finish.

Most cabinet refacing projects do not require removing countertops because professionals can access doors and drawers around existing surfaces. However, if your countertop overhang prevents full access to the cabinet boxes, contractors may need to lift the countertop to install veneers properly temporarily. Discuss this with your refacing specialist during the on-site estimate so you know exactly what the project entails.
