"John and his team are excellent. I would highly recommend them and look forward to working with them again. Our project involved replacing an old (leaning) retaining wall that had two (crooked) sets of steps as well as a walkway to the front steps of our house. They also removed (and hauled away) some overgrown bushes that were in the way once we changed the placement of one set of steps. As we discussed my ideas for an old fashioned stone wall and a brick walkway, John gave me very helpful input on the plans as well as when the progress progressed. Communication was great with John and his team and they came on time, were fast and efficient and completed the job quickly and ahead of schedule, despite a couple of days of bad weather. "Hired Design and Build to install some belgian blocks as an edging for my driveway, specifically to help direct water run off, and eliminate a problem I was having. The two young men arrived on time, and did an excellent job figuring out what would be the best way to solve the problem. They carefully cut the edge of the driveway, dug out a trench, placed mortar, installed the blocks, and cemented in place. They also addressed other possible issues contributing to run off. They took their time and did a beautiful job aesthetically, and cleaned up everything in a very meticulous manner. I have not been having problems with run off since, and am very pleased with the work done. I would also mention that the workers were very well mannered and hard working, and the price was very fair."
