"Yaniv was very professional when he replaced a door in my home. He walked me through the estimate and cost to make sure I was comfortable before proceeding. And if there was an issue, he made sure to explain and let me know immediately. I would recommend Yaniv to anyone that needs their doors replaced or fixed!"

"Tim made a special trip after normal working hours. Was able to fix the door quickly."

"Alex was thorough. They were flexible due weather delays on the roof repairs."

"I’m so happy I went with Gate Seven Contracting. They were polite, respectful, professional and did an amazing job at a fair price. I would absolutely use them again and I highly recommend. Thank you so much!"

"I’ve worked with Luis a few times and his team is always extremely professional and courteous. The work was completed with very high quality standards and craftsmanship as we needed several bathroom sinks and flooring tiles recaulked. I highly recommend LAV contracting as they provide excellent service and quality standards every time."

"Though I had fully intended to move forward with this work, I learned after the fact that the shipper's insurance company was going to require a $500 deductible, which was far more than I could afford to pay. After deciding not to have the work performed, I contacted Michael and his wife, Vivian, who graciously offered to return 50% of my deposit, even though it is normally against their policy to do so when quoting for insurance work.
To provide some context for the cost of service that was to be performed, there was a wooden dining table, 8 dining chairs and an antique chest. Every item had been scratched during shipping, including the table top, which had been in pristine condition before shipment. The repairs that needed to be done were all delicate finish work, and Michael said he would be able to do all the repairs right in my own apartment, which made me VERY happy. Unfortunately, as it turned out we weren't able to get any of the work done, so we're learning to live with the scratches.
I'm sure the work would have been done well, but unfortunately, in the absence of insurance and with a new baby and my wife not working, this repair was beyond our means at this particular time.

"Back in April, my wife and I hired John Pinto (Go Carpenter) to address the following 4 issues at the house we recently purchased. 1) Installation of a fire door for the utility\laundry room 2) Repair of the main door which had cracks in the frame and would not close properly. 3) Repair of a sliding closet door in the basement apartment 4) Soundproofing the kitchen door leading to the basement Starting from the initial phone call onward, John was hands down one of the most responsive, professional and honest individuals, I have ever hired. He performed an initial walkthrough to meet and better capture the scope of the work so he knew what exact materials to purchase. It was during this visit that he found that there was no need to replace the entire main door frame. Instead, he suggested we try to use longer screws to anchor the door to the wall stud. Also, he found the kitchen door did not need to replaced. He suggested that he install a door sweep and better insulation lining around gaps in the door frame. It has been nearly two months since the work was done. I can honestly say that his suggestions were spot on, worked without fail and were highly cost effective. Speaking of pricing, that is another reason why I liked John’s approach. He charged us a flat rate for the labor based on the amount of time he estimated the project would take him and his colleague. He then purchased the materials and we simply reimbursed him based on the receipts when he was done. We knew exactly what products he purchased and installed and how much they cost. This method provides completely transparency and I appreciated it. All in all, John and his team were complete professionals and I am planning on hiring them for future projects in the house. He is an excellent contractor!"
