"Project: Replace an Asphalt Shingle Roof My roof was over 30 years old so I went about obtaining 7 estimates from A+ rated companies. Waterman Building & Remodeling was not the lowest, but Andy Cannon, the rep, did an extraordinary job. He arrived on time, performed a thorough and professional examination of the roof, and gave me a confident explanation (not overkill like a few and not too little like some others) without trying to offer "special deals" for signing immediately or doing the company's advertising for a few weeks. He even suggested that I wait until spring, when the weather is warmer, to do the job to insure that the adhesive would seal properly, but we have been having a pretty warm winter and I wanted it done ahead of any future storms. Kelley in the office was able to schedule me within a week of my signing the contract. I liked that the job could be accomplished in one day and the foreman brought his own dumpster on wheels that did not have to be parked for days in my driveway. It was removed as soon as the crew completed their work. I liked that the crew arrived promptly when they said they would and included a woman. There was a mutual sense of trust in that they only asked for a $200 deposit (to cover the permit cost) and sent the invoice (which was for only $550 above the original estimate once they found they had to replace 8 rotten boards and some aluminum) to be paid only after the job was completed. They removed antiquated vent caps and installed newer, more aesthetic venting and they were able to remove and reattach my retractable deck awning. The roof color is beautiful and the Owens Corning Asphalt shingles are guaranteed for 50 years. Most important, the sign of an excellent company is when they go above and beyond: during the banging on the top of the roof, my wobbly glass kitchen light fixture fell and shattered. Andy came with me to Home Depot to help me select a new fixture, which he paid for and installed and then he also tightened the doors on a couple of my kitchen cabinets and fixed the hinge on my storm door! As a 67-yr-old widow, this was much appreciated. I can see how this company earned its Platinum Preferred rating."

"Overall I am pleased with the work done by Power. The price was a little expensive, but less than other window replacement companies. Power stands by its product with a lifetime warranty, so if a screen of glass breaks, or window leaks, they will fix or replace, which is nice. The day after the installation it rained and water was seeping through the wood on the base of the new bay window, they came back a couple days later and opened everything back up to find the issue and resealed everything. We live on the ocean, so our windows take a bounding with Nor'easters, so having this type of service is a must have."

He was responsive to all our questions and efficient in getting the roof replaced as well as replacing the rakes on the side of the home. "While insulating, foam sprayed through cracks into our bedroom and closets, destroying some bed linens and clothing. Their truck left before the insulation spaces were full, but they closed up the roof. It doesn?t meet building code. Our roof is featured on the Muto website, but not the scratches in the protective coating meant to ensure roof longevity. The scratches were made by a crew installing the ridge boards and chimney flashing. Their most experienced roofer said this was his first time installing metal chimney flashing. We called Muto 3 months ago and Jasen sent a drone over the house and said he?d ask the manufacturer and get back to us. We?ve sent two reminders, but we have heard nothing. We should have realized their inexperience at the outset when they couldn?t provide photos of completed metal roofs. We cannot recommend them for metal roofs or insulation."
