"The contractor was prompt in responding to my inquiry but unfortunately responded that they do not provide a roof repair service. My overall rating reflects the fact that they had an excellent response, but could not help me, so their overall rating is fair."

"After 26 years we knew, the time had come to replace our existing roof. At the recommendation of our neighbor, we placed a call to Brian Fallon at Trenton Roofing. At our home visit/evaluation Brian thoroughly explained the roofing process and within a few days submitted an estimate for the work we had discussed. In October of 2020 we signed the contracts and were given an estimated installation date. Brian kept us informed of the material availability and the anticipated date of install. In January of 2021 we received notification that Trenton Roofing had received all materials for our job and the work was scheduled. The day of the install the Trenton Roofing crew arrived promptly and within one day the entire process was complete. The crew was amazing – they were careful, efficient and their workmanship superior. Our yard was meticulously checked and cleared of all debris. We were so impressed with the roof install that we decided to engage Trenton Roofing for window replacement. In March of 2021 Brian Fallon along with Robert the window installer, visited our home to measure all existing windows. Once again within a few days we had an estimate for the new windows and installation. We were told from the start that our order would take between 8-12 weeks and installation would take approximately 3 days. We were delighted when windows arrived at the two-month mark and installation was scheduled. On the day of installation Robert and his team arrived promptly and went straight to work. Within 2.5 days Robert had completed the removal and installation of 25 windows. His work - sheer perfection! Robert is truly a master craftsman you would never even know that the new windows were not the existing ones in the home. His careful and precise work left the original window framework completely intact. Words cannot describe how thoroughly delighted we are in the finished product. Once again, Brian Fallon communicated with us every step of the way – made site visits to our home the day of the roof install and during the window Installation as well. Five Stars are not enough to give to Brian, Robert and to the Trenton Roofing team. If you are contemplating roof/window replacement – don’t think twice just call Trenton Roofing. The entire team are true professionals. Thank you for the excellent job – our house never looked better! Joe and Anne Paglione – Yardley, PA"

"We needed a roof repair to buy us another year or so before a complete replacement. I had several companies come out for estimates and they ran the gamut, from , "no can't fix it, replace it", to "sure, I can caulk that for you". Romano Roofing was the only company that really tried to balance what was needed with being mindful of my budget. They gave me a couple of options, and honestly, of all the estimates I received, Romano's was the only one that made sense. They explained all the details of the repair I needed and the limitations of matching shingles, etc. The job was scheduled sooner than expected and the crew arrived in a timely manner, and did a thorough, neat job. Despite the warning of not being able to match my existing shingles, it's a barely noticeable difference in color. Everyone I dealt with from first phone call to final payment was professional and helpful. When the time comes for the full replacement, I know I only need to make one call. Definitely would recommend Romano Roofing."

"My roof looks like new! No algae or mold anywhere, and the all dirt has been cleaned off. Plus, Paul took his time to look over the roof and report on it's condition. After he was done, the cleanup left the area around my house looking better than before. Couldn't be happier with the experience. Thanks!"

"From the very first contact with Wagner Roofing, we knew that we would use them for our roof. We had other roofers out for estimates and they looked at our multi-level roof from the driveway and spat out a number. Wagner's representative actually took a ladder out of his truck and got on our roof (imagine that!) so that he could give us as specific an overview of the work that needed to be done as he could. He also spent a good amount of time with my husband and I, explaining the differences in shingle manufacturers and the products that would be used. <br /> Another factor that pushed us to use Wagner was that they provided a list of addresses of clients' homes so that we could see the shingles on roofs in the daylight instead of just a small rectangle in the sample book. The colors looked much different "in the real world" and that helped guide our decision as far as manufacturer and color went. <br /> After a couple of false-starts (cancellation due to rain, for which we were called days in advance), we had a solid date for our roof. We were told the crew would be here at 7:00 am and get started. To be honest, I thought 7-ish to drop off the shingles, then have coffee and breakfast to start the day. Nope; our doorbell rang at 7:00 sharp and the crew was busily unloading tools and materials while the foreman spoke with us about what was going to happen. There was no wasted time; our roof was stripped of the old layers and shingles started going on just as quickly. <br /> Again, we assumed they would be here until 4 or 5:00 pm, but they finished before 1 because of the machine-like precision every crew member used. They were courteous, professional and left our yard spotless! <br /> Their prices were in-line with and better than some of the other roofers and their service and professionalism were head-and-shoulders above the other people we had to the house. I cannot recommend them highly enough! <br />"

"John was very responsive and punctual when I was looking to get roofers to look at my roof and assess the problem and give me estimates for work needed. He came early on a Saturday morning before heading off to another job he was doing. I really appreciated him fitting me in. He immediately noticed that I had a shoe rack by the door and took his shoes off without me asking before I took him upstairs to show him where water had penetrated into middle bedroom through window frame and ran down wall after a big melt of snow in late February. He climbed the roof and assessed that roof was in overall good condition (unlike another roofer who told me I needed a whole new roof!). He believed the issue was due to debris from tree overhanging back portion of my flat roof flowing to and blocking drain box. Melting water from snow had nowhere else to go but up and over the drain box and down the outside wall of the house. He said he had installed drain boxes that keep leaves and other debris from blocking it. He sent me a quote a day or two later. I ultimately decided to hold off on doing any work right away based on the varying opinions from roofers on what the causation issue was (did I need an entire new roof or no roofing work at all - have an electrician install heat tape in drain box and down drain spout to prevent ice damming during the winter). Furthermore, two subsequent heavy rain storms showed no water intruded through the window frame, so the immediate need for repair had subsided. Certainly I would consider using John should I go with a new drain box option. He came across and knowledgeable."

"The reviews for Roofing Logic are no joke. I can substantiate this just having my roof completed. The install was terrific. Leslie's remarkable team of workhorses and on site inspection by Mike was outstanding especially during the blistering heat. These guys came out and did a steady stream of machine like work from showing up early till final clean up. They installed all the products I had in mind for the job and Leslie added his expertise recommendations to make sure the job was done the "Old School" way ,no corner cutting, just the right way to do it. Job site manager Mike was great, approachable, patient and calm. Leslie was great from start of estimate to end of job. Wow. Communication was never broken in this process and that was most important from me. Roofing Logic deserves Angie's List super service award in my opinion. I will recommend Roofing Logic to everyone I know. Thanks Leslie."

FAQs for roofing installation & roof repair projects in New Hope, PA

An average Cape Cod roof-raising project requires approximately two to three months from start to finish. The timeline depends on several variables, including weather conditions, contractor availability, material delivery schedules, and the specific complexity of your home's structure. The process involves multiple phases, including demolition, framing, roofing, window installation, and interior finishing. Working with an experienced contractor who provides a detailed timeline can help set realistic expectations for the project duration.

While most Cape Cod homes can accommodate roof-raising modifications, each house requires individual structural assessment. Older homes may need foundation reinforcement or wall strengthening before supporting additional weight. Factors like the existing roof framing system, load-bearing wall placement, and overall structural integrity all influence feasibility. A qualified structural engineer should evaluate your specific property before proceeding with design plans. Additionally, local zoning ordinances may restrict maximum building height or architectural modifications in certain neighborhoods.

Temporary relocation is highly recommended during a Cape Cod roof raising project. The construction process involves removing portions of your existing roof, exposing interior spaces to potential weather damage, and creating significant noise and dust. Most homeowners find temporary accommodations for the two to three-month construction period, with relocation costs ranging from $2,000 to $6,000, depending on your housing choices. If staying with family or friends isn't possible, budget for short-term rental or extended-stay hotel expenses as part of your overall project cost.

Consider roof raising when you experience severely limited headroom throughout the second floor, find yourself constantly stooping under sloped ceilings, or have minimal usable floor space due to low ceiling heights. Other indicators include inadequate natural light, poor ventilation, and difficulty accommodating standard furniture in upstairs rooms. Simple renovations can improve an attic's appearance, but cannot create additional headroom without structural modifications. A complete roof-raising project makes more sense than cosmetic renovations if you're seeking genuine second-floor living space rather than just storage improvements.

Begin your search by seeking contractors with specific experience in Cape Cod structural modifications and dormer additions. Request detailed portfolios showing similar completed projects and ask for references from previous clients with comparable work. Verify that potential contractors hold appropriate licenses and insurance coverage and understand local building codes relevant to roof raising. Interview multiple candidates, comparing price quotes and their communication style, project approach, and proposed timeline. The ideal contractor should demonstrate a thorough understanding of Cape Cod architectural characteristics and structural requirements.
